We stayed roughly 21 days and was our first experience in Pittsburgh, we're so grateful to Jon and the amazing opportunity to have stayed at his place. Immediately we felt comfortable and right at home! The kitchen is one of the most well-stocked I have ever stayed at, which for people who love to cook is a boon! The bar was something that was hard to believe as an amenity, we thoroughly enjoyed creating cocktails. The place was also clean, first aid kit, hairdryer, internet was highspeed 200mbps and above for downloads and uploads. The location is convenient to local bus transport and the spot felt extremely safe. We hiked every morning as the park was right across the street from us, and we were able to see local deer and got to know some of the welcoming and friendly people of Pittsburgh! Jon was knowledgeable about the area and gave us a lot of neat recommendations and historic information that we really appreciated. Could not have asked for a better stay!

From our perspective, Jon is most likely the best host on Airbnb. From the moment we arrived, he was always incredibly helpful. He left food for us in the kitchen, showed us the surroundings of the apartment, and fetched some groceries when they ran out in the supply storage, amongst other stuff. Furthermore, Jon is a knowledgeable person who has already traveled to other countries and has several facts/stories to tell. All in all, we think that Jon exceeded all possible expectations and is the best host one can find on Airbnb. Regarding our stay, we were three visiting students who were attending Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) for two months. The apartment was spacious and had everything that we needed for our stay. The location was convenient, it had grocery shops around 15min walking distance and 5-7min by bus, and was only 15min by bus from CMU. To conclude, we strongly recommend this apartment to everyone who plans to stay in Pittsburgh and thank Jon for all his help.

We had a lovely time! The apartment is situation in direct vicinity of Frick park in Regent Square, and is well-connected by public transport to the Squirrel Hill and Oakland neighborhoods. The apartment itself is located on the top floor, with the bedroom window facing a quiet garden. The kitchen is clean and remarkably well-equipped (there were even some unexpected snacks available to us). The living room, facing towards the road, has ample space, and a desk with monitor and printer to get some work done. Temperature regulation is easy and reliable through an airconditioning system, and radiators are located in every room. In the basement, there's a coin-operated washing machine and a dryer. Jon was an incredibly generous host, and shared some of his fun anecdotes about the city with us. He is very respectful of privacy, and a joy to interact with. We highly recommend both the apartment for comfortable multi-week stays, and just as enthusiastically, we can recommend Jon as a host!

Our stay at Jon's place was perfect in every way! We were just moving to Pittsburgh from out of state and Jon's apartment and kindness made us feel at home right away! Everything in Jon's apartment is made to make you feel cosy and at home, from the living room and bedroom which are filled with super comfortable and beautiful furniture and decorations to the kitchen which is packed with everything you can dream of in a kitchen! Jon even had fresh eggs, butter, bread and drinks and so much more waiting for us in the fridge when we arrived, which was really nice after a very long trip! Jon is also extremely responsive, and answered everyone of our questions as soon as we had one, and was also extremely helpful, and friendly, to give us advise on things to do in Pittsburgh, as well as to give us plenty of advise to find our way around and everything we need during our first few months Pittsburgh! All in all we had an amazing stay, and highly recommend Jon's apartment!

Jon is a fantastic, helpful and responsive host. I had an extended stay, for multiple months, in the top floor apartment and it was a great experience. The building itself is very quiet and is close to a really nice park with hiking trails. The neighborhood has a few nice coffee shops you can walk to and although you can't really park right in front of the building, I had no trouble finding parking every day on the cross street just a couple houses down, maybe a 1 minute walk. The unit is comfortable, clean, cozy and beautifully furnished and decorated, with lots of thoughtful touches. The full kitchen was well stocked with basic grocery and pantry items, and plenty of kitchen tools and supplies. I think some of the photos make this unit look a little small, or make the ceiling look low, but in person that's not the case at all. This is a pretty spacious 1BR apartment that makes up one whole floor of a house. And Jon knows a lot about Pittsburgh and has great recommendations!
