This newly renovated home packs a lot into a small space, and features high-end finishes and furnishings both inside and out. Inside, enjoy an organic pillow top mattress, ample closet space including laundry, a fully stocked kitchen, a brand new tiled bathroom with glass-enclosed stall shower, a 42-inch Sony AppleTV, and a custom reclaimed wood bar for dining or working. Outside, relax in an Adirondack chair in the front courtyard, or watch TV from the sofa in the private backyard oasis. As the name suggests, this is a tiny house! That said, it contains everything you need for a comfortable extended stay. The bed features a twin-sized organic pillow top Avocado Green Mattress and high thread count cotton sateen sheets from Serena & Lily. In addition to the closet, which offers both hanging space and shelving, there are two large drawers under the bed for your belongings. The dining area features a custom 4-foot long reclaimed wood bar and two comfortable counter height chairs for dining or working. In the kitchen, you’ll find a 28-inch stainless steel refrigerator and freezer, a two burner gas stovetop, an undermount sink, a large built-in microwave, and a Breville Smart Oven Pro with Air Fryer, along with all of the accessories you’ll need for cooking and baking (including nontoxic Caraway pots and pans, a quarter sheet pan, muffin tin, loaf pan, mixing bowls, measuring cups, etc). Additional kitchen amenities include a Nutribullet Pro and a Nespresso Pixie. In addition to a pedestal sink and toilet, the bathroom boasts a tiled stall shower with glass enclosure, and two generous shelves for storage. Native shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided for your use, as is a hair dryer. One of my favorite parts of this tiny house is its outdoor space. In the front, there is a private fenced-in courtyard with two Adirondack chairs and a side table. This area is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or relax with a book. In the back, dine al fresco in the shade at the bistro table after cooking a meal on the gas grill, or lounge on the outdoor sofa and catch up on your favorite show. Additional amenities include fast Wi-Fi (>100 Mbps), solar shades, security system, and keyless entry.
Nicole is a good host. She takes her job as a host seriously and really cares to see that her guests have a good stay. The place is cozy and well decorated and is well-stocked with things you might need. One of the many attentions to detail I liked is the lighting is on a dimmer that you can control from arms length while in bed (and there’s another dimmer switch on the other side of the unit for when not in bed). The place is located in a nice, mellow residential neighborhood. While staying, I actually received compliments on the place. I had originally booked the place because my place in Santa Monica was under construction and I needed a place to stay during construction. I had originally booked the place for a month, but I liked the place and the area and ended up extending my stay several times, and ended up staying for for a few more months. I would definitely stay again. Actually, as I write this, I am scheduled to stay at another one of Nicole’s places in the area.
Such an amazing space!! Has everything you need for a long-stay and the host is super responsive and kind! I recommend :)
This place is great. Very well designed tiny home that has everything you need. High quality kitchen and bath items. Outdoor space is nice and secluded. Nicole is also very kind and responsive. She is on top of things when it come to repairs. Highly recommend!
I stayed at Nicole’s home for two months and had a very nice time. The place is small but she has truly thought of everything. There’s plenty of space to prepare a meal and lots of outdoor space to enjoy when the weather is nice. Everything really is so thoughtfully appointed and laid out for the most efficient use of the space. The neighborhood is very safe and walkable. It’s just a couple blocks to a nice cafe and a few coffee shops. I stayed with my two small dogs and it was even comfortable for all of us. Nicole is super welcoming and easily reachable. She always responded to me within minutes and was eager to help in any way she could. Any issue we had (and there were seriously almost none) was resolved in a timely matter with great respect for my time and communication on her end. I can’t recommend this place enough if you are looking for a great place in the Pasadena/ Altadena area. I’ll definitely be back.
This home is located on a quiet street in North Pasadena just a short stroll (0.4 mi) from the trendy eateries at Washington and Hill. Enjoy your morning coffee from the front courtyard or back patio, or walk down the block for espresso at Lavender & Honey, brunch at Millie’s Cafe, or a smoothie at Açaí Bar. This charming neighborhood also offers a Pilates studio and gift shops as well as essentials like grocers, pharmacies, and dry cleaners. If you are up for recreational activities, Altadena Golf Course, Eaton Canyon (hiking and mountain biking), and the Rose Bowl (running, cycling, swimming, and golfing) are minutes away. Other nearby destinations include CalTech, Pasadena City College, Huntington and Arcadia Hospitals, Old Town Pasadena, Huntington Gardens, Descanso Gardens, and the Norton Simon Museum. For commuters, the Metro Gold Line, the 210, and the 134 are all easily accessible.
Street parking is free from 6am to 2am every day. Overnight street parking is $3/night and payable through an app (with a 10 cent/day service charge) or at one of five kiosks throughout the city (there is no service charge if a kiosk is used, and up to 10 nights can be purchased at once). Pasadena has an outstanding bus system, an extensive network of bike lanes, and several metro stops for access to DTLA, the beach, and beyond. See photos for Metro map. The closest stop is Allen on the Blue Line.
