Long Beach & Maloneys Beach have long been popular destinations for holidaymakers. Both beaches offer unspoilt sites that are calm & serene & give recreational fishers access to the abundant Clyde River or easy access to the rock ledges of the nearby bays.
Long Beach hasn't any shops nor services, however just down the road from our house, at Maloneys Beach, in the back street (our house is on the cliff in between both beaches) is a café that offers divine snacks & great coffee with terrific coastal service.
Long Beach, the aptly-named 2 kilometer stretch of sand on the northern side of Batemans Bay, is enclosed to the north & east by spotted-gum forest & bounded to the west by the mangrove-flanked Cullendulla Creek.
Directly behind Maloneys is the Murramarang National Park & to the east are remote rock platforms & isolated beaches to explore.
There are several local pods of dolphins, that you can often spot from the cliff behind our house.
What you will find when visiting is the healthy community spirit of passers by as they wander along the public walk heading to either beach to enjoy what the area has to offer.

To get to Batemans Bay you'll need to either hop on a bus (857 Priors Bus Service) that takes about 25 mins & costs approximately $3-$4.
Or you can use the local Taxi & it will take between 8-11 minutes depending on the driver & will cost between $30-$40
Our house is only about 6km from the centre of Batemans Bay.
The best mode of transport is by car & there is free parking at both Long Beach & Maloneys beach. But walking to these from the house is easy & will only take a couple of minutes to either.
