This was everything my wife and I could have ever hoped for. The Bunkhouse is exactly as described. I come from Louisiana, but I can say with 100% certainty, THIS is sportsman's paradise. From the beautiful scenery to the warm hosts, you'll feel as welcome as family from the moment you see the property.

Maria and Ted’s place was beautiful. The bunk house had everything that we needed and sleeping by the river was so peaceful. We saw a blue herring in the morning which was very cool. Our dog loved running around with their dogs, Mini Cooper and Evee. Maria and Ted were always available for helpful advice. Close to many natural attractions! Thank you!!

I had an incredible stay at the Bunkhouse! Maria and her husband were exceptionally kind and went above and beyond! The photos don't capture the beauty of this place – the serene river just outside the door is stunning. The Bunkhouse was impeccably clean and very cozy. Not only did I feel at peace, I felt safe. (It was my first Airbnb stay.) My soul dog cherished every moment here. The river stole her heart, and I saw pure joy in her eyes as she played in its waters. Mt. Mitchell is only an hour away and worth the hike. The scenic drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway leading up to it was equally beautiful. Maria is one of the sweetest people I have ever met! She is quick to respond with any questions I had and made me feel at ease. I am already planning when I want to come up next! If you were apprehensive before booking, rest assured that Maria and her husband with ensure you have the best stay possible. Don’t miss out on this gem!

This is our second time there so obviously we love it. The little bunkhouse is perfect but what you don’t see is the river is right across from driveway so it’s just beautiful. And Marie and Ted are wonderful. They are so sweet and the house is plentiful. If u can do simple but everything you need and more if that makes sense. Great fishing also. Thank y’all for welcoming us back. We will come again.
