This house is AWESOME for a large extended family vacation! My wife and I and our 5 married kids and grandkids all went on a family vacation together. This place has LOTS of gathering spaces.... from a large living room area with lots of seating around a gas fireplace and TV... to a separate den area with a sofa chair and table with another gas fireplace and TV ... to a "sun room" for quiet seating (again, another gas fireplace, but no TV)... to an outdoor deck with lots of seating and a propane grill... to an upstairs screened-in porch with more seating and patio furniture... to a great outdoor firepit with lots of chairs for gathering, and another deck with a table and chairs. It is definitely not lacking in SPACE! We had a great time! The only reason I didn't give it 5-stars is because it could use a good deep cleaning and some furniture upgrades, but Kyra said the owners have plans to do just that! We had a couple of issues that Kyra took care of immediately. Very responsive host!

This was a wonderful and comfortable gathering place for the family trip. EVERYONE had a place to stay with plenty of room, very comfy, and even the downstairs bedroom in the middle of the action was still quiet. Lots of places to sit and gather including outside. Very easy to find and so close to town and to hikes everywhere. Kitchen was great and had almost everything we needed - it was super nice to have a second refrigerator and kitchen in the back room for use as well. Would definitely recommend this very beautiful house for your family gathering.

We had a fantastic stay. The house was perfect. Everything was clean, great amenities, excellent location. Peaceful but only a couple of minutes from downtown. Great communication. A++

We had a great stay. The house is big enough to have a large family and not feel confined. Even when it rained all day, we still had enough room to spread out and not feel cabin fever.

Great home for a family reunion! We gathered here over the New Years holiday from 3 different states and this home was perfect for our big family! The home has multiple sitting areas which provide comfortable places for playing games, watching football and visiting. The teen girls LOVED the bunkroom- perfect area for kids and young adults! The mother-in-law suite is great to use for a family with an infant as it can be separated from the rest of the home and is very quiet. All the bedrooms are well-sized and the beds were all comfortable. The kitchen is well-appointed with an assortment of plates, bowls and drink ware. There are multiple coffee pots and plenty of coffee cups, which is important when you have a big coffee-loving family! We also rented the cottage behind the main house. The two are joined by a small walking path- super easy to go back and forth between them. We would definitely recommend this place for a large family and hope to use it again!
