Doghri- is a new two bedroom pet-friendly luxury cottage at Meena Bagh Ratnari. It has two independent rooms with a common living/dining room. The bathrooms are heated and have a standalone bathtub with a mountain view. The rooms have their own sit out area in the verandah called Daafi . The wooden rooms have skylights, brass designer electrical and bathroom fittings and are completely insulated. Doghri has two spacious wooden bedroom with ensuite bathrooms and it comes with a living/dining area or the sunroom. The bedrooms open into a verandah and have a sit out area or balcony called the Daafi. The bathrooms are heated and have a standalone bathtub with a mountain view. The two bedroom Doghri is the newest addition at Meena Bagh Ratnari and is built primarily for couples. However it can also accommodate families and a maximum of 6 people. The living area/ Sunroom has two single bed cum sofa. Pets are welcome however a cleaning fee will apply. Kindly notify if you are coming with a pet. The living area or sunroom has a kitchennet and two large skylights. It has a microwave, a washbasin and a water filter with a hot and cold water option. Unlimited water can be had from this filter as we don't provide plastic packaged drinking water. Doghri is built for comfort and luxury. The rooms are spacious with a large 65 inch smart TV, a skylight, designer brass light and bathroom fixtures. The rooms are insulated against the weather. Doghri is far from the madding crowd of Himachal's hill towns (85kms from Shimla and 17kms from Narkanda) ). It is suitable for those looking for seclusion, tranquility, nature and space (both indoors and outdoors) and the surreal experience of living in a Himachali home in the middle of a farm which which has 5 different farm animals. (cats, dogs, sheep, ducks and chicken). The tariff does not include meals. But they can be provided on a la carte basis.. At Meena Bagh Ratnari we grow our own food organically and provide Farm to Table whenever possible. The entire two bedroom cottage is made from seasoned wood that came from an ancient wooden building built by the British in post Independent India. This building housed a popular Girl's College in Shimla. For this reason we are offering a 30 percent discount for all female travellers. As with all Meena Bagh properties we also offer discounts to artists, writers, journalists and people involved in conservation work. Installed in the compound is an Observatory with India's largest privately owned Telescope. Guests can book their sky-gazing sessions during the time of their booking. Guests can also join us for fruit and berry picking (during harvest time) and other farm activities we have on our Permaculture farm. Farm tour can be arranged for all guests and for those who want more information on Permaculture farming, including compost making, mulching, fruit tree growing etc, the owner Sanjay Austa, if available, will be happy to assist.
