An outstanding house and host. Was perfect and what was advertised was exactly what we were looking for and got. Kids had a blast and got to Hunter for 3 days - easy to get to and from the mountain from the house. Made incredible meals in the well appointed kitchen. The living room wood burning stove style fireplace was just outstanding. Thank you to our fantastic hosts for making everything easy and clear which made for a great vacation!

We had such a great time! we loved the wood burning stove to keep things cozy inside, but we also loved the fire pit in the back yard. They have a TV in the main room and another downstairs in the garage game room and that was great for movie nights. the deck is perfect for a late night drink and the bedrooms were spacious and cozy at the same time. We took the hiking trail to the stream which was nice to stretch our legs. Whitney and Tim gave us local recommendations and we loved Stamford Coffee Shop. We also checked out some good local breweries like Westkill. we were about a half hour from hunter mountain so we went there for a meal too. The kitchen at the house was stocked with everything we needed and they have a cabinet of basic spices and some supplies. we went to Great American the local grocery store and were able to cook some great meals at the house and all sit around the large kitchen table. The 8 of us could easily all fit at the table together. All around great experience

We loved our stay at the Black Birch Lodge! The place and its surroundings were beautiful and we enjoyed all of the special touches in the house. I was very impressed by the responsiveness and helpfulness of the hosts. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and private space for friends and family!

This was the perfect house for a weekend getaway, exactly what my friends and I were looking for! We really enjoyed cooking meals together in the big kitchen, the electric griddle was a great bonus for cooking breakfast We spent a majority of our time in the living room, listening to records by the wood burning stove, playing monopoly, putting together a puzzle. It's so cozy yet spacious enough for a big group (we were 8 people plus 2 big dogs). The couches are very comfortable. The bedrooms are huge. I love the decor and felt right at home.
