Dream cottage from which to explore your own slice of the Lake District. Each day felt like returning home after a day of adventure. Friendly hosts who helped supply plenty of local walking routes and day expeds, and a local pub recommendation or two. We will be back when we can!

Such a lovely place with everything you might need. Pictures don’t do it justice! So much character with amazing views. Easy to find even in the dark (with Sean & Jane detailed instructions) and great location to explore the lakes. Sean & Jane kept us posted with any road closures and diversions and responded very quickly to any question we had. We would highly recommend their place!

Great 3 night stay for a hiking trip, Cottage is so secluded and quiet and has everything you’ll ever need and more!. It’s located in such a lovely area with amazing views all around. Can be tricky to find and phone signal is very poor so certainty worth paying attention to the directions you are given to locate the property as these are very reliable.

We had a wonderful and enjoyable stay at the beautiful rural cottage surrounded by beautiful countryside for my partners 50th birthday. No issues with the cottage being cold it was warm & cosy. Jane was open, friendly and communicated well. There was no issues with the cottage. We loved the scenic beauty and the rural location. The views were spectacular. The location and cottage was as described and the step by step directions /postcode Jane provided ensured we located the cottage without any issues. The additional info about nearest pubs, butchery, bakery and walks etc. was really helpful too. Having the paddock and garden was ideal for us with having our dog. It was great having the baby gates to allow our dog to stay downstairs. We had our morning coffee and an evening sundown drinks in the paddock & garden. We would highly recommend the cottage to anyone who wants a rural peaceful experience. Thank you Jane & Sean we will book again soon. :-)
