Roshan and the team of locals were very accommodating and made us feel very welcome at Ruuk Village, it’s like being part of a family. If you’re looking for an off-grid type experience this is ideal. We were offered a free upgrade to a cabin in the same location which was much appreciated. On arrival we were told about the half/full-board packages, which incurred an extra cost, it would’ve been good to have been made aware of this prior to the booking. Saying that though, all the meals as part of the full board package were delicious and the right choice as there’s not much in the way of restaurants locally. Our only negative would be that when we asked about some of the excursions that are mentioned on the listing and the Ruuk Village website, we were dissuaded against them or told it wasn’t the right time so again, so for example, didn’t get the chance to visit the national park. Again, prior warning would’ve been appreciated. All in all though we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

I had the most amazing time at Ruuk Village. The Volkswagen was super cosy and the area in general gorgeous. The food was delicious and the people super friendly. I had some kitesurf lessons which I also enjoyed very much. I also loved that it is runned by locals and that they are focussing on sustainability. I felt really welcome and I would highly recommend Ruuk Village!
