Set in a great central location with very easy access to the whole of central Scotland, Maryland Cottage has been lovingly furnished and decorated to ensure a very comfortable and relaxing break. Ideally suited to either two couples or a small family, the unusual layout features a long living space at the front of the cottage, overlooking the garden and hills beyond. This is a lovely sunny room, with wooden floor and space for dining. Outside, the large, enclosed wrap-around gardens surround the cottage and feature sitting-out areas designed to make the most of the sunshine. The cottage is just a couple of miles from Bridge of Earn, with a good selection of shops and eateries and with great access links to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee. The city of Perth is just a 5 mile drive away and has a wealth of tourist and cultural attractions. The cottage is on the border between Perthshire and Fife where golfers are spoilt for choice with Kings Barns and Carnoustie easily reached, and half way between St. Andrews and Glen Eagles. But if golf is not your thing, the pretty East Neuk is full of quaint fishing villages - a perfect place for a day out by the sea. Beach 25 miles. Such a lovely cottage with the quirkiest layout! We absolutely loved our stay. The cottage had everything you could need for a home away from home and the fresh eggs and home baking were incredibly thoughtful. The hot tub was great and we even managed to get some elusive Scottish sun! The location is perfect, especially if you wanted somewhere central to explore Scotland from. Although we only left the house to get groceries (a co-op is only 5 mins drive away) and walk the dog. The village is lovely and I enjoyed the local dog walking circuit along the burn. The host was brilliant with communication. We enjoyed our stay so much and I would recommend highly to anyone. Thank you for a wonderful break.
Absolutely the most welcoming, generous and thoughtful hosts! What a gorgeous cottage with everything you could need plus lots more. Thank you so much for the really handy items like milk and sauces but also for the amazing extras like wine, cheese, crisps, eggs, sweets. It really was such a welcome surprise. We would love to come stay here again!
beautiful cottage in beautiful surroundings. The owners left some lovely treats. The caramel shortbread was the best I've ever tasted (don't tell my gran I said that 🤣) Absolutely spotless too
Just returned from a short break for my birthday at this amazing cottage, it was the most wonderful few days. Arlene was so helpful even before we arrived, with all the useful info for how to get there. Check in was super easy, and we were welcomed with the cutest and most thoughtful little hamper with several treats, a bottle of wine, and some baked goods in the fridge that were so tasty. There was all the ingredients for hot drinks all stocked up aswell, which we really appreciated with it being winter. Inside and outside was absolutely spotless, and so beautiful. The hot tub is the best one we have ever been in, so relaxing and cosy. We also turned on the tv at night just expecting standard cable channels (what you get in hotels, etc) but were truly amazed that the likes of Netflix, Amazon prime etc, were already signed into....Which was fantastic, as we were able to watch the football. Arlene and Billy really go above and beyond for guests. We will defo book again. Lou & Grant x
