The place was very nice. The design of that back of the house with all those windows is top notch.. you really enjoy the view of the Lake. We went off-season so a little too cold to swim, etc..but we knew that going in and still enjoyed our stay. Be sure to bring a telescope if you have one to view stars. Part of the road to the unit is a bit rough.. use an SUV to travel if you can. And there isn't much nearby... We did enjoy our carry-out lunch from a little place called Oh Tommy's Pub & Grill.. was able to get food back to the house still warm as it only takes about 12 mins to get home from there. We gassed up our vehicle at the Phillips 66 in Sweet Springs on way there and on way out of town (back to KC area in our case).

Overall, a great experience. The street has some construction (multiple houses going up in March 2024) but still quiet during our stay. Because it's a new development, not highly walkable but very little traffic either. Secluded with great views & water, which is what we were looking for. Dog & kids had a great time exploring the dock & surrounding area--otters, eagles, herons, fish, of course deer, etc. Nice selection of family games as well. Takes 10-15 minutes by car to get to first outposts of restaurants, groceries, etc. We got solid meals close by without having to travel to Camdenton, Osage Beach, etc.

This place was beautiful! Pristinely clean, well stocked with quality pots and pans, small appliances, dishware, soap, shampoo and more! I would hazard to say though that this is not a good location for someone driving in a small/front wheel drive vehicle, as it is down some small, 1 lane gravel roads that are steep, hilly, and washed out in areas, and the driveway is immensely steep. One of our group members could barely get out of the driveway once in due to it's steepness, they got stuck and one of our bigger cars had to tow them out. I would also say that this is not a good property for disabled folks, as there are an INSANE quantity of steps both indoors and out, way more than you can tell from photos. Neither one of these things is the fault of the owner, just things that we wished we had known going in, to make sure others know when they go! Bring good shoes and enjoy your trip!
