The Lake Linda Barn is a wonderful secluded country getaway for large groups. You have sleeping for up to 9 people and that's not even putting people on the couches (allowable...just let me know for extra bedding) It's a chance to reconnect with nature and leave the stress of life behind. You have access to the host's garden and the opportunity to sit on a beautiful private 44 acre lake and enjoy quiet sunsets or a the famous 30 min. "bird walk" around the lake.Clean, simple, rustic space.

This barn is set in the woods on a family farm. The host's home is near by and a cozy cottage is located nearby as well. The other houses belong to my two sisters and are far away. The neighborhood is very safe and usually very quiet. You will be able to walk around our beautiful lake through the bird filled woods and enjoy the best of Illinois.
Carthage IL is only 8 miles away. Nauvoo, IL is 19 miles away. Macomb, IL is 19 miles away. I have plenty of free parking. We even have room if you're traveling with a trailer.

I live in rural Illinois and began hosting in 2017 to help with raising college tuition costs for my children. However, being raised in the hospitality business, I discovered this was a perfect fit for me. I’m now a retired educator devoting all my time and attention to serving my guests. I grew up on Lake Linda along with my six siblings on a ranch our ancestors homesteaded in the 1800’s. I’m blessed to share the best of Illinois with my guests.
