We are located in the village of Belmont which has a high street with bakery, Indian restaurants, pub, coffee/ waffle shop, post office, gift shop, hairdressers. We are 5 min bus ride to the high street shops of Sutton and well placed for trains to London Victoria, London Bridge & Blackfriars. We are in walking distance to Banstead Downs with lovely woodland trails. Our house is warm, comfortable and light. We have 2 cute and quiet cats who will mind their own business and are automatically fed. Our home is warm and comfortable with central heating throughout, underfloor heating in the kitchen, heated towel rails in both bathrooms and a log burning fire in the lounge. Our open plan kitchen has light streaming in through Velux windows (on rain sensor control) and the 8-seater dining table works well as a space for family meals and dinner party entertaining. We have a fantastic deck with outside furniture (cushions in the box), hammock, swings, large trampoline and even a 2m x 2m pool!

Fantastic house - very spacious and excellent for families

We enjoyed our stay at Tania's home. It was perfect for our family's needs. It felt like we were staying with friends! Everything was as described. It was great to have a superking bed in the converted loft, along with a shower room up there. The garden was absolutely lovely and the trampoline was well used. Having children's toys and books provided was a bonus for us. It was brilliant to have off road parking. The house is very handy for public transport which meant that family members could come over and see us. The large open plan kitchen diner is fantastic - a lovely family space with a huge dining table. Tania had kindly left coffee, which was enjoyed during the stay, and two homemade cupcakes, which was a lovely touch. We would happily recommend Tania's house to others and hope to stay there again in the future.
Myself, my husband and our two children had a comfortable stay at Tania's house. We were visiting family in the area and so did not really spend that much time in the house during the day but appreciated the all the amenities (and plenty of toys) on offer! The children enjoyed playing the drum kit (maybe the neighbours less so)! Tania had left some coffee, wine and chocolates, which was a lovely touch. We were very happy with our stay! Thank you Tania!
Lovely, clean, updated home in nice neighborhood. Easy rental and communication. Local stores in walking distance.

Belmont is a lovely village with a small high street (bakery, butchery, convenience stores, hairdressers, florist, Indian and Chinese restaurants/ takeaway) just around the corner from our house.
Sutton is the closest town, which is only about 7 mins bus ride away, or 30 minute walk. Our road is well connected with bus stops at the top and bottom.
We are also on the edge of Banstead Downs which is lovely woodland, ideal for walking.
Also nearby is the village of Banstead (catch the S1 bus up the road) which has some lovely shops including Waitrose, gift shops, banks etc. Ramblers Rest gastropub and the Banstead woods are definitely worth a visit (slightly further out towards Coulsdon.
Slightly further afield in Wallington is the lovely garden centre Woodcote Green, surrounded by farmland and woods. Oaks Park is worth a visit and has a nice tearoom.
We have space for 1- 2 cars to park off street in front of the house (please check if you need space for 2).
In terms of public transport, we are very well connected:
The 80 bus (for Sutton, Morden) is at the top of the road and the 280 (Sutton) and S1 bus (Banstead) are at the bottom of the road.
Belmont train station is also at the bottom of the road, which is a slow train into London Victoria.
For faster trains into London Victoria and London Bridge (the latter only during peak times) take a quick bus ride to Sutton station.
