Happy’s place has the best location. It’s on the second floor so it also has a balcony which is nice for working outside. We had an issue with the washing machine and Happy was able to replace it which was great. Happy is also very responsive, communicates instructions clearly and kind. The only reason I gave four stars is because the entire apartment building is very old and falling apart (paint chipping off every place), random refrigerators laying around outside, etc. I think ignoring the exterior of this building is worth it for its location. The gym is also the same, very old, dirty, smells like dust, many of the machines are broken/rusted/don’t work. If you are booking this place for the gym then just keep that in mind! These things are probably outside of the hosts control.

A pleasant appartment in the middle of Msasani Peninsula. Safe. Complex has a generator for when the power goes off. Kitchen has everything you need to cook with and there are supermarkets close by. Overall a great place to stay. Oh and Happy is a great host.

Excellent location, safe, when I needed help in using the washing machine people arrived immediately. I needed an early morning taxi and she arranged this, he arrived on time and helped me at the ferry. If I had not stayed in this location I would. Have had a very different experience. Of dar es salaam.
