For the hiker, mountain biker, nature photographer or astronomer we have the scenery and trails you'll enjoy. Our tiny house in Tucson sits near the western part of Saguaro National Park. The views of Sombrero Peak, desert sunsets or star-gazing are ideal for those who prefer something off the beaten path. Notes: - Our property backs up close to the western part of the Saguaro National Park west of I-10. - Hiking, mountain biking, star gazing or even just trying out tiny house living are wonderful here. - You will need to have your own transportation (preferrably with good clearance) and your own food supplies. We're about 20 min drive to Walmart but it isn't walkable so please keep this is mind for planning purposes. - Yes, we have A/C, heat, and cold/hot water. Please note that our tiny house operates somewhat like an RV or trailer traveler in that the water comes from a smaller size tank than a regular home. It is heated basically real time. So a long 30 minute shower isn't in the cards. But a shower with hot water works fine as long as you remember that it is a smaller tank. If two people are going to shower then the 2nd person might want to wait for the water to fill the tank for heating after the first person. . Other things to keep in mind: - If you intend on hiking then bottled water is a must. Water in the tiny house has the same water we use. Again, remember it works like any RV or travel trailer coming from a hose so always run it for a bit to get fresh water supply into the hose/home if you are going to drink it. It comes from the water company not from a well if that helps. - Mobile phone service does work just fine but can be spotty as any hiker in any area can tell you. - We also have internet service so your devices will work. We've yet to have anyone use the TV staying here although there is one where you can login to your personal prime video or whatever. Most people prefer reading or star gazing, etc.
