It was a decent place overall. The good: service was very responsive, food was good, and the Mount Batur hike was great. The guide was awesome. The bad: The shower head didn’t work, the sink was clogged and wouldn’t drain, there was a loud noise with the AC unit which made it hard to sleep, and the AC unit couldn’t keep up with the heat throughout the day which made the room very hot.

The views are stunning from everywhere in this property! It wasn’t quite what I expected though - as the most expensive accommodation I booked, I expected higher quality. I guess you’re paying for the view. Pros View is absolutely spectacular. Very comfortable bed. Staff incredibly helpful and friendly. Able to book a good tour with accommodation owner to do a Jeep sunrise tour up Mt Batur - with a guide to hike the last 30 mins up from the Jeep park (highly recommend this tour, you’re not missing anything hiking in the dark from the very bottom). Cons Very limited menu and food extremely basic (but mostly tasty enough and at least cheap). No other options within walking distance. Bathroom needs maintenance. Normal shower didn’t work (just misty spray), had to use the handheld sprayer, drain couldn’t cope, bathroom flooded every time I had a shower. Bathtub tap not bolted to floor. Bad smell in sink. Bedroom floor needed mopping. Flies outside (not their fault - bad everywhere).

My wife and I had a great staycation. Very quiet peaceful location, and the staff was fantastic and very responsive to any request. The food available was good quality and local prices. Beautiful scenic views of the lake and local gardens
