The only reason for not a 5-star rating was more related to some update/maintenance items. Those have been relayed to Michael and Katrina. Overall, the family members indicated aside from these items, we'd stay again with no hesitation. Great value for the number of bedrooms available, location, availability of back deck and cleanliness.
Hosts were very fast to respond and friendly. The beds were stiff, but the bedding comfortable and clean. It’s an older home that could definitely use a little work and a good deep clean. There were cobwebs on the ceiling and dust and dirt on all the baseboards, some dirty marks along the walls as well. It is not handicap friendly and unfortunately that was our fault for not looking deeper into that. The stairs are steep and unsafe, and the bathrooms would definitely benefit to have a safety bar. My friend has had a stroke and was unable to shower due to the shower being unsafe for her.
Michael and Katrina were extremely friendly and helpful, the place is exactly as advertised and looks like the photos and easily accommodated our large family, it is in a very nice neighbourhood and is easy to get to. We found it to be in a great location for what we needed. Also, we were able to bring our baby dog with us which I loved the most because it’s a pet friendly house! Highly recommended!
Overall not a great experience. Michael and Katrina had agreed that we could check in one hour early. We arrived only 30 minutes early and the code for the lock had not been changed and we could not get in. They responded within about 10 minutes but still very frustrating when travelling from out of town with kids who need to use the washroom. The second day we were in there our toddler found a chicken bone in the couch, we lifted the cushion and found about 4 more chicken bones, so disgusting. We also found an orange underneath one of the beds upstairs. The hosts then messaged us letting us know that someone would be working on the deck that day but could not give us a timeframe. The workers did not show up that day but showed up at 9am the next day which ended up waking up some of our family members. Would not stay here again.
Michael and Katrina were very responsive and very quick to answer when I had any questions. They are very friendly and accommodating hosts. Place was clean and had everything all 11 of us needed.
