We stayed for almost two weeks at these fantastic log cabins, walking distance to downtown Ushuaia. The owner and host Alejandro has clearly made these cabins a labour of love. Our cabin was very spacious, with heated stone floors and a very comfortable king-size bed on a separate mezzanine level. The open fire was so good to come home to after one of many spectacular day walks around Ushuaia recommended by Alejandro. The floor to ceiling windows looked high over Ushuaia township and Beagle channel. There were so many beautiful handmade touches inside the cabin. There is even a spa bath in the bathroom. In addition he made fresh bread daily, beautiful wholemeal and sour dough rolls. There was a raspberry bush by the front steps. full of ripe raspberries. It was really an extraordinary Airbnb of which Alejandro should be very proud. Ushuaia is a long way from Oz so I don’t know if we will ever be back, but there is only one place we would stay if we do come back!

The photos do not do this cabin justice, it is absolutely magical. The beautiful had carved furniture, the thoughtful touches and the views out the floor to ceiling windows… just wow. Alex was extremely kind and helpful, always smiling and his delicious bread was something we looked forward to every morning. Ushuaia is a hilly town but we found a route to the house which wasn’t too steep and it was a nice way to get some air and warm up. The heated floors kept the place feeling extra cozy. Will highly recommended to anyone going to Ushuaia

This was a wonderful place to stay- Alejandro was friendly and enthusiastic about the local area and offered many personal suggestions of what to do and provided delicious homemade bread each day. The rustic stone cabin is beautiful and hand crafted and provided a beautiful vista with a fireplace and all amenities needed. Definitely stay here if this is the vibe you’re looking for in Ushuaia.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alejandro’s cabin. He is the consummate host and made us feel welcome immediately. The space is warm and comfortable. It was the perfect place for us to rest and recharge after the long drive to Ushuaia. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our time at Alejandro’s self-designed & built Cabin. When we entered the cabin, it looked exactly like the pictures, very spacious and lovely furnished. Alejandro was very supportive with everything. He replied right away via Whats-App every time we had questions about the cabin or any activities in Ushuaia. If he doesn’t know, he will ask around to help you. It was also very nice of him to get fresh salad (self-grown in his garden), freshly baked bread and self-made jam every day. That way it was easy to cook for ourselves in the well-equipped kitchen. And not forget to mention the amazing view from the cabin over Ushuaia, the mountains and the sunrise/sunset. All in all it was the best accommodation we had in Patagonia. Thanks for everything 😊
