Welcome to The Barn on Fox Alley—a piece of history nestled in the heart of Lancaster city. The Barn on Fox Alley is a repurposed garage built in 1999, transformed into a magnificent Amish barn that pays homage to Lancaster county’s rich heritage. Step inside, and you'll find yourself immersed in the warmth and character of a bygone era. The spacious interior of the barn is meticulously adorned with hand-hewn reused floors and reclaimed barn wood throughout. The Barn on Fox Alley is a Beautiful open concept living space located on the second floor. On the first floor is a large entry, washer and dryer with garage parking space. Enjoy your own private outdoor space, on a beautiful brick patio with table seating and rocking chairs.
The Barn on Fox Alley is a little gem tucked away in between the historic homes of Lancaster. Her place was impeccably clean, tastefully decorated with character and comfort. You can tell this place was updated thoughtfully and compassionately the moment you pull up to it. Despite being in the center of a tightly spaced community, the location felt private and quiet. We loved staying here and would 100% recommend.
The Barn on Fox Alley, sits in the heart of the Lancaster’s much loved Chestnut Hill Community. The location features the quiet peacefulness of a family neighborhood while also maintaining the convince of walkability to downtown.
This part of town is very safe and well lite at night.
The Barn on Fox Alley, is located in a very beautiful and walkable part of the city. It is also a suburban area that is easy to navigate with a vehicle.
Within a 3 block radius you will find many eateries, cafes and bars; Luca, Chestnut Hill Cafe, Flora’s, Callaloo, Lemon Street Market, Split’s and Giggles and Rachel’s Creperie to name a few.
The Barn on Fox Alley is a 3 minute walk from F&M, 12 minute walk to Central Market/ Convention Center and an 8 minute walk to gallery row or the 300 block of Queen Street.

Hello, My name is Julia, a native Lancastrian, former owner of Aussie and the Fox restaurant in Lancaster and a mother of two beautiful children. In 2019 myself and husband, Colin who is Australian born and bred, fell in love with both dilapidated properties. Colin spent the next 3 years bringing The Little House on Mary Street & The Barn on Fox Alley back to life. We are excited to share the historic beauty of these properties with you!
