Apartment 408 is situated in a beautiful "winter wonderland" setting only a few kms from the ski slopes, with incredible views of the Rila Mountain range out of every window. Apartment 408 sleeps 6-8 guests (6 people in beds + a sofa bed for two more guests) and is a short but stunning 10minute drive from the ski slopes (please note there is a shuttle bus available - please see shuttle info below below). Jayne D, UK. SHUTTLE BUS A shuttle bus operates regularly throughout the day, taking you from the apartment directly to the ski gondola. This service is at an extra cost (2EUR/pp), and runs from around 8am - 8pm to meet your skiing needs. This service can be booked upon your arrival at the resort. Use of the shuttle is recommended (especially if you're not experienced in winter/snow driving) as the drive between the apartment and the gondola can get very thick with snow. The shuttle buses are equipped with thick winter tyres and have experienced winter drivers operating them. RENTAL CAR Rental cars can be picked up from the airport. Please note, during winter season we recommend pre-booking the shuttle bus service rather than using your own a rental car. The roads can get extremely thick with snow, and the shuttle buses are equipped with thick winter tyres and have experienced winter drivers operating them. Other things to note SKI + SNOWBOARD HIRE You can arrange your ski/snowboard hire and lift passes online or alternatively book these when you arrive. I recommend Traventuria - this is below the Ela hotel in the centre of town. You are also able to leave your skis and equipment at Traventuria over night so you don't have to take them back to the apartment, which I would definitely recommend. RESTAURANT & BAR For the cosy evenings where you'd rather stay in, enjoy the bar and restaurant downstairs, which offers a wide range of delicious local and international dishes and a selection of wines & drinks. The restaurant menus are designed to offer you everything from breakfast to a three course meal, coffee & cake, or simply a refreshing drink at the bar. Every meal is prepared using seasonal produce sourced from local suppliers wherever possible. The chefs are sure you will enjoy your dining experience. If you have a special occasion to celebrate, such a birthday, or would like the restaurant to arrange a private party, they would be happy to arrange this for you. The restaurant & bar is open daily from 08:00-10:00 for breakfast and from 16:00-23:00 in the evening. SPA+ POOL & JACUZZI Whether you need to relax after your day of skiing or you simply need to unwind, the spa area is the place for you. Spa facilities include a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi (all open mid Dec - mid April) which are complimentary for guests to use. MINI MART SHOP If you fancy a night in with a home cooked meal, the mini mart downstairs sells all food, snacks and essentials. There are also plenty of supermarkets in town should you need a wider selection. PARKING There is plenty of free onsite parking at the apartment. INFANTS/CHILDREN High chairs and baby cots (beds) are available upon simple request, free of charge - please let me know if you need these items ahead of your stay. As a mother I understand that you may have extra requests or additional concerns. ENTERTAINMENT There is TV (+/- 50 channels) and WIFI in the apartment, DVDs, books and board games that you're available to borrow from reception. Don't forget all that beautiful, untouched snow around the apartment - snowmen and snowball fights are encouraged! Sleighs are available for children at no extra cost. PETS Pets are welcome - but please let me know if you are planning on bringing a pet prior to your stay so I can inform reception. CHECK IN/CHECK OUT Complimentary early check in / late check out can be arranged if needed, as long as there are no other guests checking in the same day. Please drop me a message to discuss.
