Perfectly located to see the major sights of Istanbul and within easy reach of amenities such as shops and restaurants. This charming four floor house has lots of stairs to keep you fit and the most comfortable beds to collapse into after a long day of sight seeing. Three toilets across three floors was handy, although the top floor ensuite toilet didn't flush and was probably easily fixed but we managed without it. The sound of the school children in the school playground opposite did not disturb us and the air conditioning was gratefully used even in March. Our hosts were attentive and super helpful. All in all, I would highly recommend to others.

To był z pewnością udany pobyt. Dom wygodny, wyposażony we wszelkie udogodnienia. Położony w centrum historycznym. Pewien zawód mi sprawił Wielki Bazar. Odwiedziłem go powtórnie po 25 latach. Wtedy to był urocz chaos. Dzisiaj to wielkie centrum handlowe zaopatrywane w ustandaryzowane produkty. Ale dom i gospodarza polecam.

Loved the place and it kept us fit with the stairs but the quirkiness appealed to us and the top floor had a great view of the Bosphorus. Amazing location. Literally a 5-6 minute walk to the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace. Heaps of places to eat. All very touristy and prices to match but dig a little deeper and find things off the main drags and where you can’t ask Tunç and you find great places. Easy access to the tram and through that to the ferries if you feel like a feeling the wind in your face crossing the Bosporus. We loved the place to stay and the locale and neighbourhood. Tunç was the best host and arranged whatever we asked him for and also arranged for a transfer for us on that sad day we had to leave. We will be back. Istanbul and this Airbnb is in our hearts.

+ Convenient location close to some of the main sightseeing spots (although not so close to public transport, but still okay). + Many restaurants and cafes around. + Very responsive hosts: they were answering questions and solving issues quickly. They also managed to accomodate the 5th guest. + Comfortable beds, sofas and a TV with wireless connectivity. + Equipped kitchen. + Fast enough Internet. + Aesthetically pleasing from the outside and the inside. - Quite noisy outside (kindergarten, construction site and a restaurant). - Window blinds are not particularly good at darkening. - Provided toiletries were not enough for several people, so we had to buy tourselves (incl. soap and dishwasher capsules). - Four floors might be a bit challenging for guests with a lot of luggage. - No built-in ventilation in the kitchen and bathrooms, had to open doors and windows. - Minor technical issues (one door of a wardrobe wasn't moving, doorknob on a glass shower door couldn't be attached, etc.).

Overall good place to stay at if you want to be close to Sultanahmet but not directly in the hustle and bustle of the streets. Lots of nice restaurants and things to do within minutes walk of the location. The home was clean but there was a smell in the downstairs bathroom, which is the only fault I could identify. The host was always responsive and sent clear check in and check out instructions. A cot and high chair were provided, so would recommend this stay to families with young children.
