I was a little disappointed with the pictures of a golf cart, bicycles, and kayaks made it look like there were places to do these things from the house, and while you can kayak, Shari told us we would have to be a level 3, which I could see why with the strong currents. Biking along a busy highway only and nowhere really to drive a golf cart. The space was definitely not conducive for small children with all of the stairs and no gates around the water would make it easy for toddlers to fall in. The main thing I was disappointed was that a public access is directly across the road, which made the beach crowded. For an adult trip with older children or fishing this place would be amazing (minus the public beach?_ The house was extra clean and the beds were comfy and cozy. Beautiful Sunset. You should highly consider the sound side of Emerald Isle if you’re looking for peace and quiet. This place is the perfect location for that. Shari was super helpful with getting us checked in and offering local suggestions. You can tell she loves the island and what she does. My pups and I felt at home all week long.
We LOVED this house! It is so quiet and peaceful with such pretty views of the Sound. The dock made it so convenient to fish and kayak, which we did daily. There is even a fish cleaning station. It was just a couple of minute walk to ocean beach access too so we got to enjoy both the sound and ocean each day. The beach cart that was provided was wonderful when going to the ocean. There are so many places outside to sit, swings to enjoy and rocking chairs that are both in the shade for those who are sun sensitive and plenty of places to sit in the full sun. The house is well stocked with thoughtful amenities throughout and is beautifully decorated. I had to briefly work a couple of days and the sitting area in the master was perfect for that with excellent wifi that supported video calls. The kitchen was well stocked and there were even metal sticks for roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We highly recommend this host and house!!

Our property is easily accessible via a gravel driveway located off Park Dr. The driveway, which stretches between two neighboring yards, is clearly marked with signs on Park Dr to guide you to the right entrance.
Once you make your way down the driveway, you'll find ample parking space for up to 3 cars in the driveway itself, as well as room for 2 additional cars under the carport on the side of the house facing the scenic sound/bay. If you require more parking space, there is also the option to park along the driveway near the front yard.
To ensure a smooth experience for all guests, we kindly request that you refrain from blocking the carport of the adjacent duplex at any time. This will help maintain convenience and accessibility for everyone staying in the area.
