Beautiful, spacious farm house on gorgeous property. The hosts were wonderful as well, but I feel responsible to report the sulphuric water and extensive flies (dead and alive) in the window sashes. Great if you don’t mind those things!

Adeline House was the perfect relaxing friend catch-up vacation venue! The sunroom, library, and kitchen were our favorite rooms. The kitchen is a dream to cook in with an abundance of light and counter space. The sunroom was perfect for lounging and chatting while taking in the beautiful scenery. And the library made an enchanting space to cuddle up with a book. Chauntel was quick to respond if we had any questions about the house, and we even got a guided walk around surrounding property. Also easy access to Lake Placid, which we enjoyed exploring our first day. Would love to return with a larger group as this is house is a dream!
I’m not even sure where to start. Chauntels home was MUCH more than you see in the pictures. Such an eclectic house! Every corner of the house had something that captured our eyes and mind. It took myself and my family about an hour to do a walk through and take in the breath taking art work, photography, paintings, sculptures from all around the world etc etc. It is basically a live in museum with comfy beds , a library and a kitchen suitable for any and everything you would want to cook up, stacked with 2 sinks and endless pots and cooking utensils. We never even turned the tv on, not even once even with 2 teenagers abd 4 little ones under 12. Long story short, BOOK IT! We are looking forward to hopefully coming back in the summer and making new memories again! Like I mentioned, it was more than we expected.
Everything was wonderful and the house is beautiful the art and decorations was amazing. I took my time to look at all the arts and they all comes with a story. My family really enjoyed the place besides the rain. And they are always ready to help with anything very nice people. Thank you so much

The house is right at the middle of our farm, where we strive to apply sustainable farming practices in our beef and sheep grazing you can find our products at our farm store a stone's throw from the Adeline house.
Our grasslands and forest home loads of wildlife that may reveal themselves to the observant with a little bit of patience.
We also cultivate shiitake mushrooms and have a certified wild mushroom forager that can take the more adventurous for a guided tour.
Chauntel runs an equine business for all ages and skill level. Don't hesitate to ask her for more details.
Our area has lots of options for outdoor activities, good local (sometimes hidden) food spots that we would be happy to share.
It is the perfect retreat for those looking for a place to take a step back and reconnect with nature.
