The rental was over-cluttered and under-cleaned. The cleaning fee was one of the largest ones I have paid and nothing about the place was clean. There were dead roaches in the building, mold growing on the fridge, bathroom was dirty, dishes were dirty, and almost every flat surface had something on it. The clutter makes the place hard to live in and the furniture is nearly unusable.

If you’re here for fun. This is a great centrally located place. The window a/c units did a great job overall. No negatives there. The kitchen was well stocked with basic spices, oil and such along with crock pot, blender, chopper, etc. I overpacked, based on other bnbs. They had all the basics plus!

Monyce is quick to respond to any concerns. You can tell she has tried hard to make the space comfortable for guests. We had a few concerns starting with the structure of the space. The windows and frames are literally shifted to the side and the front of the space leans. There was no point in mentioning this to Monyce as there is nothing she can do to fix it unless adding a support beam into the floor. I also didn’t realize there was window ac units until after booking and reading a newer review. It is marked on the amenities but not in the description of the unit. The living room area was hot even with the other ac units in use. We had the unfortunate encounter with 3+ “Palmetto bugs” or wood roaches in the kitchen area. She offered bug spray under the sink and apologized but said she would have pest control come out. The neighborhood was fine. Others said it was sketchy but we didn’t feel unsafe at all. I probably wouldn’t stay again and opt for something closer to the beach.
