After our trip to Byron Bay was cancelled because of Covid, my husband, three kids (6, 4 and 5 months old) and I decided to stay in Barwon Heads. We approached Fiona and she was incredibly accommodating and communicative. Her house sparkling clean and styled artistically with little touches that made our stay feel unique and special. The kids had their choice of bunk bed to sleep in and a plethora of toys and books to keep them entertained for weeks. There were two main outdoor areas -- one with activities for the kids (trampoline, basketball, slide, etc) and the other with an outdoor bath and shower that came in handy after the beach. We had access to a full kitchen that we cooked in every day and a laundry to wash our clothes. There were also chickens that laid eggs every day! We brought the kids' bikes and rode/walked into town regularly (about 15-20 minutes) where there were a few great cafes and an amazing bakery. There were quite a few beach spots within a 5 min drive that were suitable for kids plus plenty of scenic walks and rides. We also went to Jirrahlinga Koala Wildlife Sanctuary (walking distance of about 10 mins) where we were able to hold lizards and a python(!), and hang out with koalas, dingos and many more native animals! Barwon Heads began as our back-up holiday plan but ended up being SO much better than we anticipated. We're truly pleased our trip to Byron Bay was cancelled so we could experience this fantastic town and surrounds, and Fiona's gorgeous house!

This unique home is the perfect place for some solitude and relaxation but still has the luxury of being close to town for a quick trip to the shops or the beaches. Barwon Heads is a perfect location for families. Fiona leaves her home as she and her family would live in it and for us it just worked perfectly- our 3yr old Grandaughter thought she was in heaven when she saw all the things to play on and with. Lovely bush walk to the council parks. Was the best holiday home we have ever stayed in. Thanks Fiona

This is the second time our family has stayed at Saratoga House - we love it! The backyard and the kids rooms are set up perfectly for young children, and the house has all the amenities and comforts needed for grown ups. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Awesome place, beautiful house and amazing backyard for kids! Kids were in heaven! Fiona had a beautiful stylish home and everything was easy and thought of down to the coffee pods! Great space for two families or extended family. Short walk to a great park and a little bit further to the shops and beach. Would def recommend!

This is a lovely house and we felt very much at home. It is an ideal house for people with young children, with a fantastic garden/playground/sandpit/trampoline, lots of toys and chickens to feed. The house was spotless and everything was as promised. It is in a quiet street and we had a lovely, relaxing stay. Beds were really comfortable and we really appreciated the lovely touches left by Fiona. Thanks for a fantastic stay - we will definitely re-book.
