This beautifully hand-crafted rural apartment features seasonal, shared pool and a spacious stone patio surrounded by the olives. Private living room with a fireplace, an open-plan kitchen and a double sofa bed; the bedroom has a king-size bed. Only 12 mins from Montefrio, the location is ideal for day-trips to Granada and Cordoba. Perfect for hiking, mountain biking, and relaxing in nature. This rural apartment is surrounded by olive groves. It consists of two levels. Upstairs is a double bedroom with a king size bed. The private bathroom features traditional Granadian ceramics and views over the olive groves. Downstairs is a living room with a cosy fireplace, an open-plan kitchen and a double sofa bed. It has a private stone patio ideal for sunbathing, relaxing, or barbecuing.

We hebben ontzettend genoten! Je komt helemaal tot rust , het appartement ligt tussen de olijfbomen in de bergen. Heerlijke uitvalsbasis om Granada, Córdoba en Malaga te bekijken. Maar ook de omliggende dorpen zijn zeer de moeite waard! We werden hartelijk ontvangen en kregen geweldige tips om de omgeving te verkennen. ‘‘s avonds heerlijk bij de open haard genoten van het boek dat Sabina (host) heeft geschreven over hun leven in Andalusië , je kunt je alles beeldend voorstellen, omdat je er midden in zit. Het appartement was schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Wij raden deze accommodatie ten zeerste aan!

Casa rural muy acogedora en la cual se respira mucha paz, muy limpia, la cama de matrimonio es súper cómoda y la chimenea es preciosa además de proporcionar un calor especial. Recomendable al 100% ya que Sabina nos ha propuesto muchos planes además de su atención.

Robert and Sabina’s place was hands down the best AirBnb experience I’ve had. They were so kind, responsive, and helpful. Their property is gorgeous, peaceful, and quiet. Perfect for a short or longer getaway. The apartment itself was beautiful, cozy, and comfortable. We stayed 9 nights and wish we should’ve stayed longer. We will be recommending this place to our friends and family. Can’t thank Robert and Sabina enough for their hospitality. Such a special stay!

Wir waren Anfang Oktober für ein paar Tage bei Sabina und Robert und total begeistert von unserem Apartment und dem Grundstück. Es liegt total ruhig in mitten von Olivenhainen, aber nur 10 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt von Montefrío! Die Gastgeber wohnen auch im Haus und es gibt noch ein weiteres Apartment dort. Alles war sehr sauber und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, wir haben uns sofort sehr wohlgefühlt! Die beiden sind darüber hinaus tolle Gastgeber - wir haben viele Tipps für Unternehmungen bekommen, als wir ankamen stand schon eine Flasche Rotwein und selbstgemachtes Olivenöl bereit. Wir können die Unterkunft zu 100% weiterempfehlen, alles super! :)

Cortijo Berruguilla is located in the mountainous area surrounding Montefrio. There are wonderful scenic trails right outside our house. We’d be happy to show you less popular routes through the olive groves and the forest. We recommend two trails:

Agritourism
Cortijo Berruguilla is located in the Spanish countryside. Our neighbours are farmers. They grow grains, fruit and vegetables, keep farm animals, and tend to their olives. If you’re interested in rural life, we’d be happy to show you the farms and involve you in various seasonal activities on our land.
Yoga
We can arrange for professional yoga classes with a certified yoga instructor for all levels of yoga practitioners. The classes can take place by the pool area, on your private terrace, or indoors. Please contact us in advance to check availability of the instructor and her prices.
Cave spelunking
For those interested in caves, we recommend visiting the famous Cave of the Bats (Cueva de los Murciélagos) in Zuheros (60 mins drive from Cortijo Berruguilla). In order to visit the caves, you need to book a guide in advance (ph(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)). We’d be happy to help with the arrangements. Bird watching

We love travelling, working in our vegetable garden, and living close to nature. Before we settled in Spain, we spent over ten years living and working overseas and travelling in Asia and the Middle East. However, of all the places that we have seen, we fell in love with our place instantly. We love living in Andalusia because of its natural beauty and tranquility. We love Spanish lifestyle and living among the olive groves. In the summers, we work hard collecting and preserving our fruit and vegetables. In the fall, we collect olives and enjoy our own olive oil. We spent almost a year renovating our cottage and are now ready to welcome visitors from around the world to experience life in rural Spain. We hope that our visitors will have a tranquil, restful, and healthy holiday.
