We rented the house as a base for a reunion of five, senior citizens. It looked fascinating from the pictures and so it turned out. There’s plenty of space and the house is well equipped for eating and drinking. We didn’t use many of the extensive collection of music and games but thoroughly enjoyed the pool and darts. Matisse was very prompt with her communications and wanted to make us feel at home, we even took in packages and chatted with the bin men!!! Local shops and a pair of pubs just a short walk away and an easy trip into town. All in all an excellent venue for our needs.

This was a bit of a different stay to what we would usually book being a family home, and overall had a good stay and the facilities of the dart board, bar and lights was great. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all clean. We had a problem with the oven not being clean which caused issue on cooking and some of the cutlery was dirty. We were left some personal touches which was great and the host was responsive, however probably for in touch more than we expected and what I’ve experienced in the past. We also wasn’t informed about some Degus that would be locked in the 4th bedroom. It was a little disappointed to be only told the eve before as we have someone with a rodent fear. It didn’t cause us any issues but felt we should have been informed earlier as we didn’t really have much choice and didn’t want to be difficult. Overall a pleasant stay and we had fun.

We stayed at Matisse's home as it was ten minutes drive to the venue of the wedding reception and enough bedrooms for 4 adults and 2 children. Communication with Matisse was excellent and easy 😊, as was check in & all the helpful information at the property. Lovely extra touches 😍

Fantastic place! We stayed (6 of us) for one night to celebrate our daughter’s graduation. Pool table. Darts party lights and music- the property really was perfect. Bed’s really comfortable and we all had a great nights sleep. Matisse is a FANTASTIC host. She was so friendly and responsive and went over and above when we had a slight problem in the morning. I would not hesitate to recommend Matisse and her fabulous home 😁

Great house, fantastic host who went over and above to be welcoming and ensure we had everything we needed to know. A lovely personalised welcome message was waiting for us on arrival.
