The stay at Sunset 🌅 Beach was awesome! It was exactly as advertised. My husband and I loved the easy walk down the road across the street that brought us right to Sunset beach. Interactions with Porter and his family were an added bonus. They gave the ALOHA feel to the whole trip.

This is a wonderful location on the North Shore. The tropical garden is relaxing and the cottage has all the essential needs. The hosts are so gracious, helpful and welcoming. The beaches are accessible by foot and other world class beaches are a short drive away. We stayed two weeks and never ran out of things to do, new beaches to explore, and dining options to try. Light sleepers should know that there are roosters on the property which is common in this area. Overall, we had an incredibly relaxing vacation.

The garden is absolutely pristine and such care seems to have gone into its up keep. The garden seating is almost always in full sun so not great for during the day. The studio is tired - Simple is great but old and tired and stuffy is not. It is in dire need of a new powerful fan, a fresher interior and ant / cockroach control.I personally was not fond of the sunset beach area - the beach is right on a very busy road and the famed sunsets felt a bit average to me. The hosts were very responsive and answered any questions I had but a lot of the information could be provided in a guest information document. I found it difficult to find surfing and yoga within walking distance and ended up renting a moped ( expensive ) so I could get to areas better suited for these activities. The other staff need a little help with guest interactions and need to smarten up a little bit - the welcome I received from porter was odd and quite off putting ( I contemplated leaving on the first day but was exhausted from traveling ). The sunrise shack at the end of the drive was awesome and I had a bullet proof coffee every morning and read in their garden - it is the only sense of ‘ aloha’ island vibes I experienced in the immediate area. All in I think improvements need to be made to the studio or the price needs to be dropped quite a bit. Whilst I personally wouldn’t Stay again , I don’t have any overwhelming complaint - it was all just a bit ‘meh’ .

Property is an excellent spot for beaches, property is basic but meets the needs.

A studio with a smal walk to the beach and perfect place for two persons. Love the outdoor shower! But there are lots of geckos, both in our room and outside.
