I loved Eleanor's apartment. It was cosy, welcoming and a great place to come home to in the winter. The caravan park wasn't operational but it didn't really matter. I stayed 11 days (for work and personal business) and especially enjoyed the 15-minute walk across the fields to the Bowling Green pub on the northern side of Ashbourne.

This was a last minute trip to the Peak District. Found Eli’s place which suited us (couple with a 15 year old boy) as there were 2 bedrooms. It’s an amazing place. Basically, an apartment over the pub which is the main entertainment on the Callow Top Holiday Park. It’s location is in the perfect place to get all over the Peaks and Dales, and you can walk straight onto the Tissington Trail from the site. The site was busy (a mix of tents, towed caravans, camper vans and fixed caravans) and while it was busy out the window with chatting and kids playing, it was all quiet by around 10:30pm and you’re on the first floor so it wasn’t intrusive. The apartment is orientated east/west so you get the best sunrises and sunsets. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need, but as it’s self catering, remember to bring washing up liquid, a couple of dishwasher tabs and if needed, clothes washing tabs. (It has a washer/dryer and a dishwasher). You also need your own towels but Eli is great and let’s you know everything ahead of time. Brilliant place to stay.

We all loved this apartment. The location is fantastic for exploring the peaks either by car, bikes or on foot. There is loads to do for families regardless of the weather. The apartment is really clean, loads of space and very quiet. There are great facilities on site as well and its a safe place for children to play. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We will be back next year.

Exactly as advertised - spacious apartment right in the centre of the park, with access to food at the pub, close to the shop, the play area and pool. Location amazing - fishing pond close by (down a big hill!), literally on the tissington trail, 5 minute cycle to Ashbourne and 10 minute drive to Dovedale. Gorgeous walks immediately off the site with beautiful views.

My family and I spent 3 nights here and can highly recommend. Communication with host was brilliant and check in was very easy, despite us being later than anticipated. Beds extremely comfortable and shower powerful. We look forward to staying again in the future.
