Karen's Cottage was the perfect place for us to spend our week we connecting with family in ireland. we highly recommend it. Outstanding location with beautiful views and well equipped.

Karen is a wonderful host, very friendly, helpful and easy to get in contact with. She has equipped the cottage with everything you might need and provided a wonderful welcome package including treats for our dog. As the cottage is recently renovated everything is brand new and pristine. We felt it was very good value. The surroundings are peaceful. The only noise you will hear is birdsong. The cottage is warm and cosy and you will enjoy the wood stove in the evening. Shops and restaurants are available in the towns about 2O minutes or half hour drive. Boyle has a country market on Saturday mornings. We enjoyed the Lough O Flynn bog walk, the famine museum in Strokestown and the railway museum in Hells Kitchen restaurant in Castlerea. We really had a wonderful break away. We cannot praise the cottage or Karen's hosting highly enough and we look forward to going back.

Beautiful cottage restored to hightlight it's original features, while also tastefully incorporating modern essentials. Quiet, peaceful and good for the soul. Definitely one to return to.

Karen was an excellent host. Really accommodating and very thoughtful with little extras such as bread, milk and treats for our Kitty, super responsive and informative. The cottage is really cosy, nicely designed and in a very scenic area. It’s rural and private but a short walk to the village. It’s also a short drive to both Boyle and Carrick-both have supermarkets and great restaurants. I’m looking forward to staying here again in the summer months when the area is even more beautiful. Lots to do in this part of Roscommon too- Arigna mining experience and Rathcroghan ancient site both standouts. Thanks for having us Karen, it was great!

Stunning cottage! Easy to find, in a great location and down a gorgeous private road. I've stayed in a fair few Airbnb's at this stage, but not one where the host has thought of as much detail as Karen has. Our doggie was with us & was super welcome and even had some treats waiting for him too. Thanks so much again Karen!
