WOW - this place was incredible! You can tell Valerie and Patrick are an excellent architect/designer team by how freaking amazing this unit is. The pictures do it zero justice, its SO MUCH BETTER in person! The attention to detail is awesome. From how they built out the folding glass balcony doors, to the little shaft of skylight in the livingroom, to the glass 'atrium' near the kitchen, the placement of all the indirect lighting on shelves, pendent lights in the ceiling, etc. I was amazed to see original Vivian Westwood artwork (!), high end designer plates in the kitchen by Heath Ceramics, and the masterpiece black tile work throughout the awesome bathroom. Val and Patrick are awesome people, we hit it off right away and grabbed dinner with them and had excellent conversation. The location is excellent, just a few blocks from the center of everything. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Our first time in San Miguel, and this was the perfect apartment to explore it from. Patrick and Valentina were fantastic hosts and have a wonderful unit. The location is great for easy access to the historic Centro district, and the patio with fully opening glass wall were wonderful for relaxing after returning. They gave us great recommendations for things to see and experience. We hope to stay again here again on the next trip.

There were three outstanding aspects of our stay: 1. Super Central location, in the Centro district of San Miguel de Allende, within easy walking distance of the Jardin, church, numerous restaurants, and even a Meditation Center which we attended. 2. The balcony; we had superb western facing views from the spacious and airy balcony, and enjoyed meals and several spectacular sunsets from this viewpoint. 3. The cohost for this property, Patrick, who carried our bags up to the loft/apartment space, immediately delivered several needed items when one of us was under the weather, and dealt with a loud neighbor in the building in literally minutes to achieve quiet on our last night there. He is extraordinarily attentive and helpful, which meant a lot in a place and culture that was unfamiliar to both of us. Do take note of the already listing stated two flights of stairs, which did not trouble us, and that this apartment is on a major bustlely thoroughfare through the town.

The apartment is very modern and elegant. The owners provided it with everything one could possibly need, including fresh fruit, drinks and fresh flowers. It is located on a very noisy Main Street. Though the bedroom is in the back so it is possible to sleep. Lovely but noisy.
