Adventure starts at this cozy cabin that is conveniently located less than a mile to trail G23 which leads to the middle of the very popular trail 22 and 4 +/- miles to the trailhead of Windrock Park. A scenic 20 min drive will take you to some amazing views and hiking trails of Frozen Head state park and the historical Brushy Mountain state penitentiary (open for tours and restaurant). A short 8 minute drive brings you to Oak Ridge which has all the restaurants and shopping you would need. This cabins framework and siding was constructed from the trees that once grew from which it sits. Small, but features everything you need to hangout and sleep good after all the adventures you might have while at Windrock or surrounding areas. The main level features the kitchen/living room, a small bedroom with one twin bed and the full bathroom which can only be entered through the bedroom. The upstairs has a king bed, twin bed, electric space heater and a door that leads to the upper deck. Natural gas is the main heat source located on the main level. There is also a radiant heater downstairs for those sensitive to the natural gas heater. Both levels have window ac units. *The cabin is also surrounded by woods which means many flying insects in the warm months. I have to mention this because some previous guest must not know that insects exist in nature and will enter the cabin if doors are left open for an extended amount of time.
