This was our fourth trip to Loon Lodge and it never disappoints! Booked the trip a year ago but usually snow conditions are always good the end of January. Of course we all know the horrible winter this has been. Snowmobile trails were all dirt. A short distance from the cabin are seasonal roads and less than 50” trails that were great. With limited riding we found plenty of other activities. Board games, cards and trips to Traverse City for shopping. No matter what Mother Nature throws at us, we still have a great time at Loon Lodge! We love this place!!!!!

Pictures do not do Loon Lodge justice. This was our third stay and once again did not disappoint. The peace and serenity is unmatched. We planned Christmas at Loon Lodge at the beginning of this year. Hoping for snowmobiling but weather wouldn’t cooperate. Changed up and took the SxS’s instead. The whole family had a blast. They agreed best Christmas ever. We love the fireplace and size of the cabin. If someone wants to read and others watch TV there is plenty of room to separate. They have a well supplied kitchen, we cook the majority of our meals. This is our family’s vacation destination for many years to come.

Even though it rained most of the time we still had a great vacation. The area is so peaceful. Fly fishing Crooked lake for bull bluegills was outstanding to say the least. ORV/snowmobile trails are close by. My family loves Loon Lodge and can’t wait for our next two trips this winter.

The pictures for this place do not do it justice! It is MAGICAL, GORGEOUS, and AMAZING. The cabin itself is extremely clean, well-decorated, cozy and accommodating. Flying in from San Francisco, I was worried about amenities. IT WAS ALLLLLL THERE! Every amenity was available…phone chargers, plenty of towels, condiments—you name it, its there. The property and lake were the same…you want a fire pit, you got it! Kayak, included! I could go on and on. Also, since we were there for a Bachelorette weekend, I was managing tons of personalities and Jenifer was quick to respond to all of my questions. This place was perfect and if we ever need another another beautiful weekend in the Michigan woods…this is where I will be!
