Proximity to a variety of inlets (one of them being Penny Pond Inlet) plus, the short distance to our main beach Come and stay in this Cozy Ocean Bungalow. This One Bedroom apartment is located near everything... I mean everything!!! It’s 5 minutes from the center of town where you will have the Hampton Bays’ Train station conveniently for folks who like to hop on the train and splurge their weekend in the Hamptons. At walking distance from the Station and 5 minutes driving from the Bungalow you will find Starbucks, Ride Aid, King Kullen and fabulous gourmet delis and restaurants… you will also have another two great supermarkets; Stop&Shop and Wild By Nature. We are also 5 minutes driving from Ponquogue Beach which is our main beach surrounded by three awesome restaurants Oakland’s, Sundays on The Bay and Docker’s where you can grab that cold drink at the end of a very hot beach day. Marvelous isn’t it! I don’t know about you but, I can’t think of a beach with a rejuvenating cold drink…. This one bedroom apartment has approximately 900 sq feet… Its open floor plan gives you a feeling of amplitude and freedom that relates directly to dining area and living rooms. The living area has a 65” smart TV, fire place and comfortable sitting. The Kitchen has all stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Microwave and dishwasher. Yes, we do have an expresso machine with a frother so that you can prepare your cappuccino in the lazy, tranquil morning of summertime… and, for the most gastronomically incline folks, cooking is permissible. I have a full kitchen with plenty of gadgets… so, be creative and grill that awesome steak!!! Before I leave I should mention about Meschutt beach. It’s is also a great location with live music throughout the summer, not a beach for surfers or adventure swimmers, since it’s on Peconic Bay, but on a plus side, there’s a full outdoor bar for adults, I love their Rum punch, and a full service snack bar, and a gift shop that sells beach gear... etc. Definitely should check it out… So, come on in stay with us … It’ll be our honor and privilege to be able to host you!!!
My husband and I booked this Airbnb for a short staycation to celebrate our anniversary. This was the perfect spot for just that. Super cozy and intimate. The entire unit was extremely clean and well stocked with supplies. We had absolutely no issues and would definitely come back again!
Juca's place is a cosy Hampton's cottage, nicely furnished with a lovely small but well equipped kitchen, living room and bedroom, all spotlessly clean and welcoming. I know the area quite well having lived there for several years. The location is splendid with a 2-3 min drive to the spectacular beaches that make the Hampton's a world-renown destination. Juca is a terrific host. He responded quickly to the few questions we had and made sure we were comfortable.
My friend and I had a great stay here! The place is very peaceful. Very clean and cozy bed. A great place to retreat after exploring everyday. It’s pretty tiny but we loved how cozy it was. Highly recommend.
The bungalow is in a great location, easily accessible to shops and the beach. It is very cozy and nicely decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked and extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable. Juca was an awesome responsive host who made you feel at home. The complimentary bottle of wine was an added special touch. Would definitely stay here again.
The hamlet was settled in 1740 as "Good Ground", which became the main hamlet of eleven in the immediate area.[3][4] The area where Main Street, also known as Montauk Highway, is located today, was the approximate area of the original hamlet.[citation needed]
There were ten other hamlets in the area. They were called Canoe Place, East Tiana, Newtown, Ponquogue, Rampasture, Red Creek, Squiretown, Southport, Springville, and West Tiana. Most of these hamlets were settled by one or two families and had their own school house. Many of the names from the former hamlets are still featured as local street names today.[citation needed]
As a result of the growth of the surrounding hamlets and villages in the Hamptons and increased tourism from New York City, the eleven hamlets, although generally called "Good Ground" collectively by the early part of the 20th century, amalgamated under the name "Hampton Bays" in 1922.[3] The motive behind the name change was for the hamlet to benefit from the "Hamptons" trade that the community's neighbors were experiencing.
The Hamptons requires a car, otherwise, Uber will cost you a fortune from town to town
BUT,
It’s very fair around Hamptons Bays or, back and forth to the beach is also very fair
But, for example, an Uber from Hampton Bays to East Hampton can cost you nearly $100.00 dollars, so, having a car is not a bad idea!
