The stay here was a bargain for what you get to experience. The cottage is extremely cozy and breathtaking. You really feel like you inside a little bit of history. I loved the fact that the host set up their patio for us every morning, although I didn’t use the patio setting because I explored the woods and hung out close to the pond and watched the fish and turtles. I would love to come back here and stay longer and bring my own food and snacks so I wouldn’t even have to leave the property and enjoy the peace. This is not the place for you if you are sensitive to critters. I very much enjoy frogs and lizards and things so I didn’t mind it a bit. And for there to be a pond I was honestly shocked at how few bugs there were, but please to find bug repellent in our bathroom just incase. The cottage is behind the main home, but I didn’t find any issues with lack of privacy. I have noticed no availability for future dates but hopefully that changes soon.

it is like waking up in another place. so quiet and all you can hear is the bugs and the frogs. convenient to stores and restaurants. perfect little place for two

Gardens were pretty but not as well maintained as pictures made it seem. Also, gardens were directly behind owners home and were small… maybe 1/4 acre? (the description made it seem like we would have 6 acres of beautiful landscape to enjoy… which is not the case). The cottage was charming but in full view of owners home, so not that private. Unexplained bullet hole in cottage window. Mosquitos were an issue. Air conditioning was not that cool and leaked on bed. Fan only runs at low speed. No closer to hand clothes or get bags out of the way. Might be okay if you travel very light. Location was convenient. Bed was comfortable. Interesting stay if you want something “different” … but we were disappointed.

Our stay was magnificent. The hosts were friendly, the space was clean and the gardens were breathtaking. It was surreal to sit in these gorgeous gardens in South Carolina. The location was convenient to hiking and Greenville. We couldn't have asked for a more lovely stay.

There were several listings in GVegas and Spartanburg that would have met the role for temporary shelter for a weekend out of town, but only one that stood out as being worth the stay. Staying at Bill's was a great experience. The property is beautiful, beautifully maintained and peaceful, the hosts were kind, welcoming, and responsive, and the accommodations were very comfortable.
