Our eldest child is a student at Whitman College so we visit the Walla Walla area regularly. In town to see a Spring concert, we had SUCH a lovely stay at Alex and Katie's unique cabin. We were impressed by the well-kept grounds and properties. The cabin is the perfect combo of rustic charm and modern convenience. Even though it isn't a large space, we comfortably slept 2 adults and 2 teens one night and 2 adults and 5 teens the second night. We were grateful for the strong wifi, thoughtfully placed lamps, cozy throw blankets, basket of fresh eggs, comfortable beds, abundance of pillows, delicious pastries, and large firepit. Our yellow lab absolutely loved running and running in the large fenced-in yard. However, the very best feature of this rental was the hosts! Alex and Katie were so kind, friendly, responsive, and helpful. We hope many others book a stay at this sweet farm and enjoy it as much as we did!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this little gem of a place and our host Alex and his sweet family. My daughter and her husband stayed here the week before and loved it so much we had to come see it. Alex was so accommodating, he thought of everything from having the type of wine I like ready when we arrived to the best fresh baked sourdough bread we’ve ever had along with pastries from the local bakery. The scent of fresh cut flowers (Lilly’s my absolute favorites) filled the cabin when we arrived. We brought our 18 month old grandson with us and Alex not only had a packnplay ready for us but an incredibly plush mattress liner so our grandson slept in luxury as did we on the extra comfy king size bed. After coming back from suggested excursions that didn’t disappoint, we enjoyed a cozy bonfire outside. The accommodations exceeded our expectations on every level and so did Alex! You will not be disappointed with a weekend at Fort Masenhimer. Cheers Karen & Kerry Betts
