Our stay at the Satoyama Marugoto exceeded our expectations in every way. Ryo and his family were welcoming and gracious hosts who took the time to prepare an incredible meal with local ingredients our first night at their restaurant, and shared an equally great breakfast the next morning brought fresh to our door. He guided us through the area on a satoyama tour. The home is a restored piece of Japanese history, with thoughtful details throughout the building. This is a wonderful place to stay to experience the richness of the countryside and see a piece of traditional agriculture practices alive today. We highly recommend this Noto peninsula stay!

There is a wonderful attention to detail with the furnishings and accommodations. A friendly and polite man with good tastes. He is an excellent host and we greatly enjoyed our visit.

We had an amazing stay in this place that is truly unique and still feels like home. It is the luxury of the beauty of the environment, the attention to every detail like great coffee for the morning and the kindness of the hosts. Our only regret is that we spent only one night. I would highly recommend staying two nights.
