Welcome to Wonderland! Be refreshed and nurtured when you stay in this rustic gem on a 1750s farm. Private, romantic, and cozy; immerse in the beauty of the foothills of Temple Mountain with the Wapack Trail steps out your door. Sleep to the soothing sounds of the brook and if you’re brave enough, dip in the rock-lined natural pool. Amenities are simple. Wonderland has a top-of-the-line composting toilet and an outdoor shower with on-demand hot water from the well. There is no formal kitchen. Upon arrival, you’ll drive into the forest, park, and cross the hand made footbridge crafted with wood from the land. The cabin sits along the bank of the brook. On either side of the porch are doors leading to decks; one with an outdoor shower with on demand hot water and the other with a composting toilet. The water supply is well water and it’s divine. Inside the cabin, you’ll find simple yet well-appointed accommodations. The kitchenette houses a drip coffee pot, tea kettle, toaster oven, mini fridge, and other essentials. During the summer, If firing up the stove isn’t your thing, a window unit provides both AC and heat. Outside, next to the brook, are two Adirondack chairs and a solo stove. The cabin is privately situated on a slope at the forest’s edge behind our home. The land abuts approximately 4,000 acres of protected forest. On the other side of the farm is a fenced in orchard and garden with honey bees and across the road is more acreage. Please enjoy the land and visit the garden. We look forward to hosting you!
I loved the beautiful lil cottage and the scenery was so tranquil. I could see myself living in something like that year round! Thank you so much Rhonda!
This cabin epitomizes “getting away from it all.” Rhonda has created an oasis with 10-min accessibility to town for restaurants, bars, bookstores, etc. It was well outfitted with beautiful furniture and bedding. We are already planning a return trip.
We had such a beautiful stay, it was even cozier and more amazing than we expected. It was wonderful to sit outside by the brook and relax, but also just as nice to sit inside reading a book. The bed up in the loft was super comfortable, we had the best sleep. It was nice waking up to such a beautiful view. The outdoor shower was fabulous! So refreshing, and beautiful. We really enjoyed exploring the surrounding towns, and all the wonderful places to grab food. Rhonda and Guy were such wonderful hosts, Thank you so much for the eggs for your girls ❤️ We really can’t wait to come back
Loved Rhonda's place! Super comfy and a great weekend get away. Her suggestions for food around was great and the place was exactly what I wanted. She was super friendly and her her dogs always brightened our day.
I booked this cabin for a weekend for my grandparents. They had nothing but lovey things to say about their time here. Not only is the cabin beautiful inside, but Rhonda made the cabin cozy, clean and comfortable for their stay. The nature surrounding the cabin was beautiful and peaceful. I will definitely think about this cabin again in the future!
The cabin sits in rural Sharon, NH, in the heavily forested highlands on the western slope of the Wapack Ridge. Neighbors are widespread and the stars are bright. Peterborough sits to the north, New Ipswich to the south, Temple to the east, and Jaffrey to the west. There are no amenities in Sharon other than hikes and fishing and canoeing on the Gridley River. We love it that way. Restaurants, grocery stores, and local shops abound in Peterborough, Keene, Nashua, Concord, and beyond.
Given the rural nature of our location, a car is a necessity.
