Whether you like waking up to the chirping of the birds in the middle of the forest, spending a whole day fishing, or enjoying the "Best In the Midwest" downhill skiing in a nearby Ski Brule, Homestead is a place to be! It is a lakefront cottage with a lovely view from either of the two wide decks facing the lake. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a "bonus room" with flat screen satellite TV with DVD player and a large great room / kitchen. The master bath includes a washer and dryer.

stayed here with my family for the first time in Aug 2023. great place, beautiful surroundings, and the lake was popular for the fishermen. place was very clean, with impressive woodwork, decor, and common area. plenty of room for everyone, and we loved the fact that the only TV was downstairs in the game room... it gave is a chance to unplug. About the host: Tom was very responsive and had all the answers I needed. we came into town from all over the U.S. and we were able to get a flexible check-in, which was very much appreciated. overall, we loved the place and would definitely come back for another peaceful stay at this Gem.
What a hidden gem in the Northwoods! Tom's cottage was everything we needed for a weekend getaway - warm, very clean and cozy, and set in a beautiful wooded area just a few steps away from Stanley Lake. With an open plan living area and a second downstairs TV room, we never felt cramped despite visiting with two families. Self check in was easy and Tom was very attentive to our needs. Wish we could have stayed longer!!
