Mesa bus is such a lovely stay! It’s surprisingly roomy and the separate bathroom with high ceilings was a treat. We liked being out in the country but close enough to some favourite spots (coffee in Federal, dinner at Eltham, wine and goodies at Clunes). Matt was helpful and accomodating and the area feels private and relaxed to stay in. No reception for us but that wasn’t a bad thing :)

If you're reading reviews to figure out whether to stay here or not - this is your sign!! What an amazing space Matt has created. The bus is so unique but well equipped. The separate bathroom wasn't really an inconvenience and the compost toilet isn't as bad as you might think it would be 😉 I was concerned that the bed may feel a little claustrophobic but that definitely wasn't the case. The views are something else! What a little slice of heaven. Sitting around the fire pit (which was made for us when we arrived) at night was incredible. The surrounding area is also lovely to drive through with so much wildlife and nature abound. The little booklet provided was a fun read and gave some great recommendations which we tried including jumping off the rocks into the Whian Whian waterfall (recommended!!). All communication with Matt was friendly and the only downside is that we couldn't stay another night!

Beautiful! … Our time at the Mesa bus was amazing, felt like you were a million miles away, while at the same time only being a short drive from all the amazing sights and activities that the surrounding areas had to offer. The bus itself was very cool, converted into a lovely space to call home for our 3 days over the Christmas break, comfy, cosy and had everything we needed. Matt was super helpful, only a message away at all times and provided a very detailed list of recommendations to fill your time whilst exploring the beautiful hinterland. If only we had more time … Would recommend to anyone.

Such a beautiful and atypical place to stay, it’s absolutely stunning there and so peaceful. The bus is beautifully furnished and super comfy. Perfect for families, we loved it !!
