Location:
The town of Olbernhau is located in the central Ore Mountains on the border with the Czech Republic. It is also called the "city of the seven valleys" because it is located in the valley of the Flöha and its side valleys, whose streams flow into the Flöha. The seven valleys are Flöhatal, Schweinitztal, Natzschungtal, Bielatal, Rungstocktal, Bärenbachtal and Dörfelbachtal.
Olbernhau is surrounded by mountains between 700 m and 921 m (Lesenská pláň (Hübladung) on the Czech side - less than 5 km as the crow flies) high, rising almost 500 m above the valley floor. The highest mountain on Olbernhauer Grund is the Steinhübel at 817 m above sea level. Pfaffroda is located about 25 km south of Freiberg in an attractive agricultural area. The municipal area includes 6 districts with a total of approx. 2,500 inhabitants.
The B 171 runs through the municipal area. The hotel is located in the district of Olbernhau Hallbach. The Waldhufendorf Hallbach is located about 4 kilometers north-northwest of Olbernhau in the Ore Mountains. The Moosheide borders the field to the west, the Mittelwald to the north and the Arlitzwald to the south-east. On January 1, 1999, the previously independent municipalities of Dörnthal, Hallbach and Pfaffroda Sayda to the municipality of Pfaffroda, Hallbach and Hutha became districts of the new municipality.
On January 1, 2017, the municipality of Pfaffroda and all its districts were incorporated into the city of Olbernhau. Olbernhau has around 11,200 inhabitants. Hallbach is about 518 m above sea level and is about 45 km south-east of Chemnitz (connected to the A 4 and A 72). The property is right on the B 171. A bus stop is in front of the hotel. It is approx. 20 km to the spa town of Seiffen. The property is located in the district of Hallbach, directly on the B 171, the B 101 is about 9 km away. The nearest train station is in Olbernhau on the Chemnitz-Olbernhau-Grünthal railway line.
