I stayed at Elena's place during a week of meetings at the UN campus. The location (in a residential neighborhood) was perfect, I was very glad to be able to walk to the UN (approx 15 minutes to main entrance) instead of having to take a taxi everywhere - especially since Nairobi traffic is notoriously bad. When I was there the main road to the UN was under construction, so the walk along the road was dusty and not along a proper shoulder always - but other locals and conference attendees were doing it, so I didn't mind (during daylight hours). A highlight of Elena's place is the garden with pool. The flowers smell beautiful, you hear a lot of birdsong and in the evenings the sounds of the frogs. Elena has a dog (Doberman), Stella, who decided by the end of my stay that she was my friend- at the beginning she was less happy about my presence. Stella was never a problem for me but if you are afraid of dogs this is probably not the place for you.

Our stay in Nairobi was wonderful! Elena has been very helpfull and kind all the time! We would stay at her place without any doubt!

I had a fabulous stay at Elena’s property. It is a perfect place to relax and stay in your next Nairobi vacation. I loved that I had a view of the pool! It was so peaceful and beautiful and definitely worth the value! No questions asked, this is the place to stay when you are in Nairobi.
