I came to relax and that's just what I did. The balcony had a breathtaking view of the ocean. I was however awakened by the birds each morning a different one almost each time. The beach is within eyesight but further than it appears. In my opinion it's best to drive there especially if it's hot. The security guy was awesome! I think he has lifetime friends in us now. All utensils and supplies are there. My only con would be the water. The electrity had a few issues as well but they worked hard to figure it out. Occasionally the water would be out as well and once we let Joy or security know, it was taken care of. I enjoyed my stay and I appreciate Joy and her crew for their hospitality.

We had initial difficulties finding it but as soon as joy found out she did everything to get us in, even picked us up. Could not speak highly enough of the effort she put in for us to have an enjoyable stay. I would suggest that when you make a booking to stay there ensure you arrange airport pick up. Joy has earned her super host status. I would definitely go there again. Lovely beach nearby. Quiet and peaceful country surroundings!

This is a beautiful place overlooking the ocean in the distance with many birds. You can easily walk to the ocean from the rental. There is a small establishment where you can order sodas and lounge chairs for a very cheap price. There are cattle grazing in the pasture next door. The watchmen was extremely friendly. Joy is very responsive.

Best place i have ever stayed in the Gambia. Place is even more beautiful than photo displayed,peaceful location,with nature at its best.The view from the balcony and bedroom breathtaking a combination of the sea and river.Birds tapping on the bedroom windows in the mornings . The beach is five minuits walk away from the property . The grounds to the property is very large and beautifully kept and there is also free parking .The host is a very warm ,helpful and lovely lady. Special thank you to Ibrahim and his wife who has always been kind and helpful to me and my son during our stay.I will always be staying at Joy place whenever I am visiting the Gambia.
