Wilmot House, a stunning Victorian residence, is located in the picturesque Herefordshire countryside. Once a hotel, it is now used as a boarding house by Hereford Cathedral School and offers guests a wide range of fantastic facilities and grounds to enjoy. Property can sleep up to 22 guests in single beds with 10 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, large lounge with pool table/table tennis table/football table & large dining area with ample seating. Ample parking also available on site. Wilmot House comprises of: Ground Floor: Grand entrance hall - With access to Lounge/Dining Area and inner hall leading to guest staircase (front staircase is not for guests use). Please note this area is also shared with a member of staff who lives on site. Kitchen area - all plates, glasses and utensils all included. WC x 2 on ground floor Lounge - With two leather sofas, TV, pool table, table tennis table, football table, access into dining area & door to guest staircase (please note this room has CCTV for any damage issues that may occur). Dining area - With ample table & chairs, access to rear garden area. First Floor: Please note all beds are single beds & bedrooms are divided between 2 separate corridors: Bedroom 1 - 4x single beds with ensuite shower Bedroom 2 - 1x single beds with ensuite shower Bedroom 3 - 2x single beds with ensuite shower Bedroom 4 - 2x single beds with ensuite shower Bedroom 5 - 2x single beds with ensuite shower Bedroom 6 - 3x single beds with ensuite shower Bedroom 7 - 2x single beds with ensuite shower Bedroom 8 - 2x single beds with ensuite shower Bedroom 9 - 2x single beds with ensuite shower Bedroom 10 - 2x single beds with shower room located opposite in same corridor *2 beds are high bunks* There are an additional two separate WC's along the corridors. Exterior: Large garden with basketball area & net, badminton net & wooden log seated area. On the images please see the map picture with a scenic route you can enjoy from the house to the river; this walk usually takes around 25-30 minutes. Please note there is no condiments/food left on the dining table as seen in the pictures. Access through the main two front doors is via electronic fobs. Please do not lose these as there will be a charge for a replacement fob/callout fee. All other doors will be open for access. Please make note there is no towels we only provide bed linen.

thanks for a wonderful stay. Communication was super easy and the house was exactly what we hoped. the communal areas are large and have plenty of games to keep everyone entertained. We came to stay over New years so didn't explore the area much as the weather was bad. As some of the other reviews said, the kitchens are not well equipped so we precooked all our meals and just heated them up as required which worked a treat. The Christmas decorations everywhere made it feel lovely and warm in the communal areas. There was plenty of parking for everyone.

Wilmot House is the perfect place to stay for a peaceful getaway with beautiful surroundings. The house was very clean and tidy and there was more than enough space for our family reunion.
Our group was 15. We really appreciated the use of the dining area where we could all eat together . The bedrooms were spacious, bathrooms en-suite and lovely views. The table tennis and pool table were fun. The grounds were perfect for my grandchildren to play with plenty of sports equipment. We had a lovely stay it is an impressive building which suited our needs for a group of 15.
I was here with 15 friends where everyone really enjoyed their time. There was lots to do as we found a rounders set, pool table, ping pong table and tv. The place was very spacious. The agent was very responsive and also allowed us to have a later check in which we were grateful for. Hereford town was also only a 20 min drive. However, the price had changed once booked as it wasn’t updated on Airbnb, but I think that has been resolved. We had to bring our own towels, including hand towels. Wi-Fi kept dropping during certain hours of the night. I also had to sign an agreement outside of the Airbnb site for check in details which had some extra details on the property like security cameras or potentially staff living on site. So I had to query these. Also the hobs were not good for cooking food on and there’s only 2 pans and 1 kettle. So you wouldn’t be able to cook a large meal if you are in a big group. As it was a great space, we would visit again.
