The house and stay itself was nice. Good location, easy to get to and a 25 minute walk into Whitby. On departure, Deborah sent an rude and condescending message claiming "the house was left in a mess, loads of dishes and pots - there was a dishwasher". This was incorrect, we had used the dishwasher and put this on before we left. I let her know we vacuumed and swept up however, the vacuum has a sign on it saying it doesn't work very well and there was no dustpan. The house was left as we arrived other than general cleaning as a rented house, which is included in the fee. However, it seems she has unrealistic expectations with useless cleaning tools. She replied claiming it was her housekeepers who told her and she had no evidence/photos as she was on holiday. It seems they're referring to having to empty a dishwasher, something I have never had a problem with. When I had explained this, the only response I got was 'I have asked the housekeepers - apologies'. This ruined our stay.

This is a great house located close to sneaton castle which is just what we wanted. The house was clean and well stocked kitchen everything we needed. Debra was a great host, very responsive to messages and friendly.

We had a lovely family break in Whitby and Debra's house was perfect for our needs. A short drive to all amenities and a great base to visit lots of places. We had everything we needed for a truly home from home stay and we all felt very relaxed and comfortable. Debra had thought of everything for our family and our doggies. Thanks Debra.

absolutely everything was thoughtfully put together, a very comfortable family stay. Debra gave recommendations, and our evening at Sneaton Castle was enjoyed by everyone. we hired the hot tub which was a lot of fun. walked into Whitby, enjoyed exploring the Abbey and Robin Hood Bay, when we left, we went to Eden Camp which we all enjoyed homeward bound. we would definitely stay at Dairy Cottage again.
