Arc de Triomphe
Built at the request of Napoleon, the Arc de Triomphe is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. In addition to the purely aesthetic reasons, due to the beauty of the building and the panorama offered on the capital, and more particularly the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe is also, and above all, an important historical symbol. The Arc de Triomphe can be visited day or night. If some people prefer the 360° panorama offered during the day, others only have eyes for the spectacle of "Paris by night" and its magnificent lights. A conflict that we can't solve for you!
THE CHAMPS ELYSEES :
A walk on the "Champs" is an opportunity to (re)discover the iconic products of French brands: the moccasins of J.M. Weston, the crocodile polo of Lacoste, the famous folding bag of Longchamp, the timeless cotton panties of Petit Bateau or the cashmere sweaters of Éric Bompard have given themselves a rendezvous on the famous avenue for the pleasure of fashionistas.
Prestige obliges, several luxury houses have taken up residence there, such as the mythical perfumer Guerlain, installed since 1913 in a listed building, or Louis Vuitton, whose "cathedral-store" surprises visitors with settings imagined by contemporary artists. The American jeweler Tiffany & Co has also chosen the famous Parisian artery as an echo of its 5th Avenue boutique in New York City. It's almost tempting to re-enact the scene from Diamonds on the Couch with Audrey Hepburn! Other great jewelers and luxury watchmakers such as Cartier and Mauboussin are also present.
PALAIS DE LA DECOUVERTE
If you are a science lover, then the Palais de la Découverte is for you. Attached since a few years to Universcience (which regroups the Palais de la Découverte and the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie), the vocation of this museum is to give to the general public an access to the so-called "pure" sciences (chemistry, biology, mathematics, physics, biochemistry, etc...).
