It is a house is in a village with a view of the mountains. There are two bedrooms with attached bathrooms, and a sitting room-cum kitchennette. Its owner, Mr Bosepandian, and his son, Selvendhiran, live in Bangalore. They are extremely responsive. The caretaker, Sivan Raj, lives nearby. Mr Bosepandian provided a fridge at my request. The kitchen has a gas range and cooking utensils. There is no restaurant in the vicinity. Mr Bosepandian arranges cooked food both from a neighbour and from a restaurant a few kms away. The delivery charge is usually Rs 100. Vegetables, meat and fish are available in the market a few kms away. I stayed alone for a week, paying ₹21,597.66. My friend had stayed with his family for a month, paying a little over ₹25,000. I was told the tariff hike was due to repairs and painting. Still, I felt that the tariff could have been a little lower as there was no AC, TV or microwave. Groups may find it value for money. Overall, it was nice.

It was a great stay at the house. Had a excellent view from the house and the surrounding was very peaceful. Everything was clean and perfect. They arranged foods on our request as no restaurants are nearby. Have you own vehicle else transportation will be a difficult task.Overall a perfect stay to avoid the usuall world.

This place is located near the small town of Kovilkadavu and has some very beautiful surroundings. I stayed here for two nights during a solo trip. As others have mentioned, the place is peaceful, has great views and there's a lot to walk/hike around. But, since I didn't have a vehicle, going around meant relying on a tempo/jeep, (which the host can arrange very quickly). If you come with your own vehicle here, you'll be able to explore a lot more and getting around will be easier. The place has the usual amenities, nothing fancy and is decently clean. Kitchen has gas and utensils. A fridge can be added to prevent food from getting spoiled. The nearest place to get food and provisions from is 4kms away and that might be a bummer for some - even to get a cup of tea you've to go all the way there. If you know any of the local languages, you can understand a lot more and life becomes easy that way. People around speak Tamizh and Malayalam. Overall, I had a memorable time here!
