Welcome to the Beach House! This newly renovated home is the perfect stay for a family getaway. Minutes to a quiet beach and a family friendly park: calm waters, swings and benches! 3 minutes to the beach 10 minutes to amazing restaurants 10 minutes to the Norfolk Naval Base 15 minutes to Norfolk premium outlets 20 minutes to VA beach Features: *Hot tub ⋆BBQ Grill ⋆Home Office ⋆Smart TV ⋆Wifi ⋆Sunroom ⋆Jacuzzi tub ⋆Kid Friendly ⋆Comfortable Bedrooms It features a large and spacious kitchen, stocked with all the essentials! Table seats 8 as well as counter seating for 4. There is also a workspace for those who need to work from home(-away-from-home)! The master bedroom features a king-sized, memory foam mattress, and the second bedroom has a bunk bed with a twin-sized mattress and futon that can be converted into a full-sized bed! Item to note we have a small cottage in the rear of the property that is also an Airbnb. The parking and walkway are completely separate.

This home was great for my husband, 6 month old baby, dog & I! There is very little privacy in the home as the upstairs is lofted and there are no doors in the bathroom. It is blocked off by curtains and the tub kind of feels like it's in the middle of the floor. The bed is also very low on a pallet, which was fine for us but could be challenging for some! The kitchen is gigantic and very clean and well kept. I will note that the WiFi was very inconsistent and there was no DVD player - so bring books :) Outside of the home - The bay across the way is amazing. A short walk and you are at what felt like a private beach all to yourself. We had so much fun taking our dog out there morning and night to run around and play. There is a Harris Teeters a 5 min drive away which is very convenient, however, nothing really in short walking distance to do. You could walk to harris teeter but along a busy 4 lane road. We drove into VA beach a couple times which was an easy ~25 minute drive.
We loved our stay here. We had a great time and really loved the house and the hosts were fantastic. We would absolutely recommend staying here.

Schuyler's place is a quiet and cozy spot in Norfolk, VA. Very good location with some things to do nearby, like the Ocean View Fishing Pier. The place offered great amenities like the hot tub which we used often. At the beginning of our stay, the wifi was not working at all.. our hosts were able to schedule a technician to come out and fix the issue; after that, the wifi performance was improved but still had some spottiness. The place has a later check-in time of 4pm due to their professional cleaners (even though they granted us early check-in after asking), but the overall cleanliness of the house could have been better. Overall a good place for the price.
Beautiful, spacious and cozy place! The host was extremely helpful and responsive. The restaurants nearby were delicious. However, there was trash left behind in many places of the home and minor damage like the laminate peeling from the bathroom sink. The WiFi also didn’t work due to an outage.

My Name is Schuyler I have lived in Norfolk for 5 years. I was in the US Army for 11 years. I have made many great memories on Ocean View and Willoughby Beach. I love Jesus, I was baptized in the ocean right in Chesapeake Bay in Ocean View. I’ve since branched out and started teaming up with some fellow veterans that are friends and family to create a small Airbnb business.
