Mesmerizing sunset sea scape with unhindered views to the South, Kapiti and Mana Islands. This place laid back and unpretentious. Relax, unwind, surrounded by nature in this elevated sea side retreat with the only sound being the sea & birds. Stroll down the stairs to the beach, take a dip in the safe beach, stroll South to the sand dunes or North to the Waterfront Restaurant & Bar, cafes and shops of Kapiti. The choices are endless, or simply unwind with a book in the sun or by the fire. The property is expansive with many private areas to choose from to relax and unwind. A beachy garden with a seat above the waves, all for you to enjoy. Your room is in it's own private annex, with own private bathroom and lounge. Sheltered from the wind and traffic noise, there is only the sound of the sea, The era is 70's, laid back and rustic. You will feel instantly relaxed and at peace.

Lucy's place offers a serene retreat with stunning surroundings, just 1 min away from the beach. The garden provides a perfect setting to enjoy the tranquility of the area, watch beautiful sunsets and starry nights. Conveniently located within walking distance, there is a 4square for any essentials you may require. We couldn't have asked for a more welcoming host than Lucy, who not only ensured our comfort but also assisted us throughout our stay. And let's not forget Dani, the lovable and gentle dog who added an extra layer of warmth to our experience. Thanks Lucy, we are def coming back!

Lucy is a lovely host who knows a lot what to do and where to go at your stay. You have the beautiful Kapiti island near by and off course the beach with amazing sunsets! waking up in the mornings and going for a walk along the beach was amazing 😍
Loved my stay! Lucy took me in last minute late at night, woke up and took me through some yoga to help me with golf, made coffee 7:30 before golf Friendly as can be! Slept super peace full! Couldn’t recommend more!

Scenic train ride north and south. Paekakariki escarpment track only 10 minutes away. Direct 2min access to Transmission Gully motorway. Paraparaumu and Waikanae 5 and 10 minutes away. Beach on doorstep. Kayaks, surf and paddle boards available. Craft beer, farmers market and lots of boutique shopping all within walking distance. Kapiti Island day and overnight trips are easily accessible. Swimming pool, movie theaters, tennis courts, bowling club, RSA are all within 2min reach.
Walking, biking, bus and train are all enjoyable experiences here. Easily accessible. Situated right on Te Araroa trail.
