We have provided pots and pans, knives, a full set of utensils, can and wine openers, a crockpot, blender, hand mixer, coffee maker, milk steamer, toaster, plates, bowls, glasses and more. We hope you will enjoy the provided tea to make sweet tea as well as the beautiful crafted tea made by Memphis' own, My Cup of Tea. Consider giving them a visit during your stay. They are a beautiful group of women with a passion for empowering the community, a true force for change. We have also included popcorn and milkshake cups for a fun family night in. (Ice Cream, movies, and memories provided by you). The Bedrooms Each room has its own personality, super comfortable mattresses, soft sheets, and a choice in blankets. The Master Magnolia Room has a king bed, two chairs for sitting, private bath, and two closets. We chose Magnolias for this room not only because they are the state tree of nearby Mississippi, but also Magnolia flowers symbolize everlasting connections. We hope this home leaves you with not only stronger connections to the people you stay with, but also the historic city of Memphis and wonderful state of Tennessee. The Jungle room is a call back to Elvis' iconic Jungle Room in Graceland. The story goes that his good friend saw the furniture in a shop window and came to the mansion complaining about how ugly it was. Elvis went that day and purchased the furniture in the store window and decorated the entire room as a joke. It wasn't called The Jungle Room until after Elvis' death and mansion tours had begun. A newspaper reporter touring the mansion saw the room and described it as The Jungle Room and the name stuck. We put our own twist on The Jungle Room and we hope you love it as much as we do. It has a gold framed king bed, chair for sitting, closet, and all around great vibe. "Pretty little thing, waiting for the king,” not included but you're welcome to enjoy the song from the juke box in the living room. The Bunk Room has four very comfortable twin beds, benches for sitting or storage, and a closet. For added fun, there are four color changing lamps that can be used as night or reading lights while other guests sleep. It's a cozy room for kids or single guests to share. The Bathrooms Both bathrooms are stocked with large, fluffy towels, rags, makeup cloths, toilet paper, cotton balls, q-tips, hand soap, lotion, mouth wash, and toothpaste. We do not provide shampoo or body wash. The main bathroom has a hairdryer. We spend a lot of time cleaning the bathrooms and spray everything with an antimicrobial spray. The Family Room We hope you find this room cozy for a family movie night or a good place for kids to hang out with the single couch and beanbag chairs. The TV is easy to operate using the instructions posted next to it on the wall. The couch pulls out into a full bed should you need it. At this time, the fireplace is not operational. The Living Room We have nicknamed this room The Peacock Room. The living room in the Graceland mansion has iconic stained glass peacocks in the windows. It is said Elvis' girlfriend had these commissioned special for the room. We also wanted to adorn this room with peacocks in memory of the peacocks that were once kept at the mansion. They were evicted and relocated to the Memphis Zoo after Elvis caught them pecking the gold paint off his gold Cadillac. We hope you enjoy relaxing on the couch and chairs or move the beautiful teak coffee tables and dance to your favorites playing from the jukebox. The TV is smart and you can access many favorite apps. The Memphis wall shines with local legends like BB King, Otis Redding, and of course, The King, Elvis. The Yard The back yard is fenced and offers some privacy. We have two hanging swings kept in the front closet that you can enjoy while at the house. Please bring them inside when not in use. The grassy area is great for lounging or tossing a football but be careful venturing into the wooded are as there may be noxious weeds. We have tried to kill everything that causes rashes, but the stuff is stubborn and can come back without us knowing. Please wear shoes outside the property to keep your feet safe. The Garage and Locked Cabinet These areas are reserved for the owner's storage and property maintenance supplies. Please respect the locked doors.
